Integral UK customer partner shortlisted for Carbon Champion
Award
National Museums Liverpool nominated at Merseyside Environment Awards 2012.
Integral have been working in partnership with the National Museums Liverpool, maintaining
the HVAC equipment in their property portfolio, including eight Art Galleries and Museums,
since 2009. These include some of the City’s most prestigious buildings including the Walker
Art Gallery, Merseyside Maritime Museum and the new Museum of Liverpool, which was
opened by the Queen in 2011.
National Museums Liverpool have been nominated for the award of Carbon Champion,
which recognises energy and emission reduction champions and is for organisations that
have reduced their carbon footprint by changing the way they operate.
Integral have worked very closely with National Museums Liverpool over the last three years
to optimise their mechanical equipment performance and to devise and implement energy
reduction strategies throughout the property portfolio.
Integral’s Business Development Manager, Mark Whittaker, commented, “We are really
pleased for National Museums Liverpool that their work in reducing their carbon footprint has
been recognised in this way. We have been invited to accompany them at the award
ceremony in May in appreciation of the collaborative approach we have adopted in their
Carbon Reduction Strategies over the last three years. We are also committed to ensuring
the excellent work and results obtained to date, continue well in to the future.”
The Merseyside Environment Awards will take place on 17th May at the Isla Gladstone
Pavilion, Stanley Park, Liverpool.
