This brochure details the services, events and opportunities that the Careers Service has to offer organisations keen to target its students and graduates.

2010 was a great year for Careers and all those organisations who worked with us. During the Autumn some 5,000 students and graduates visited events involving over 180 external organisations. 2011 started off extremely well with our Spotlight on Work Experience event being a huge success. Our busiest Autumn fair promoting career ideas and opportunities for students, postgraduates and graduates of all degree disciplines.

This event showcases the Careers Service, GO Wales, graduate employers and other organisations all offering information on student and graduate jobs, postgraduate study and time-out opportunities.

Typical Student Attendance: 1000 - 1200

Armed Forces Recruitment EventMid Feb 2012, Careers & Employability Centre, 50 Park Place

A one-day event for the Armed Forces to showcase their opportunities through a small exhibition area and informal interviews.

Spotlight on Engineering & Technology 2010

Employer Events (All Year Round)

Presentations £95 +VAT Host your own event at Cardiff University and present your organisation and opportunities to interested students and graduates. The Careers Service can assist you in organising a Presentation, suggesting suitable dates and timings, booking rooms, managing a ‘sign up’ system and publicising your Presentation.

Drop-ins £95 +VATSet up your stand in a public area - typically the foyer of one of our Academic Schools. This informal style of event offers an opportunity to promote your organisation and opportunities to both passers-by and those who drop-in especially to see you. The Careers Service can assist you in organising a drop-in, suggesting suitable dates and timings, booking venues and publicising your drop-in.

Skills Sessions £95 +VATDeliver a skills session related to the recruitment process to promote your organisation and offer students a valuable insight into what graduate recruiters look for.

Careers Guidance Booklets £2750 +VATWant your logo/company information seen on over 15,000 booklets and by a large numbers of students from across all degree disciplines?

Our Guidance Booklets, written by Careers Service staff, feature 23 English and 18 Welsh booklets produced and distributed each academic year. As a sponsor you will receive your logo on the cover and a full page ‘Company Profile’ inside of each of the Guidance Booklets.
