The meet for Vision 2030 was conducted on 15thDecember, 2019 and  February, 2020 and theobjectives were curated with a discussionamong the faculty and staff who have joinedhand to work for this collective aim of theuniversity in coming decade.

Corona Virus Awareness ProgramThe Post Graduate students of Public Health(MPH), Hospital Management (MHM) andPharmaceutical Management (MBA) of Schoolof Allied Health Sciences, DPSRUenthusiastically joining hands to fight againstthe terror of n-Corona Virus (nCoV) under theguidance of the Hon’ble Vice chancellor Dr(Prof.) Ramesh K. Goyal . The ultimate aim wasto spread awareness among the students aboutn—Corona Virus and its symptoms,precautions, protection, modes of transmissionand preventive measures. Students of Mastersin Public Health (MPH) presented poster anddistributed pamphlets advocating themessage-‘We can win against n—CoronaVirus’. Students disseminated information tothe public to spread awareness. The entireprogram  was actively volunteered by Masters inPublic Health students Debraj Mukhopadhyay,Vibhor Dudhraj, CV Sreekiran, Abul Faisal,Ashpak, Prerna Sharma, Nishat Akhtar, AimanMairaj. A three day Pharmacist’s Leadership Conclave wasorganized by DPSRU Innovation and IncubationFoundation (DIIF) along with Rotaract Club ofDPSRU at DPSRU, New Delhi. The primary objectivewas to prepare young students to interact and workcohesively as team player, adding value topharmaceutical business. The Program instructorwas Abhilasha Abhay Gupta. The key points wereEffective Communication, Business Etiquette,Interview Skills, Leadership, Team Building,Creativity and Innovation.

Practical Demonstration& Hands on Training Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University,World Class Skill Center: Beauty Wellness Consultantdepartment organized workshop on Practicaldemonstration hands on training in Innovative &Creative Approach for Hair care, Hair cut & CreativeHair Styling on 21st January 2020 at Beauty WellnessDivision. The program started with Felicitation ofguests. The guest of the event was Ms.KhampuiThaimei and her teammates. In the first half Ms.Khampui Thaimei, explained about the Hair care anddiscussed its importance and guided each students forusing right products and in right way. It was veryInteractive session. After this she briefed about hair cuttechniques, proper way to hold cutting scissor anddemonstrate one Hair cut (graduated) with show blowdryer techniques. And also explained to how to managethe hair on regular basis. In the second half shedemonstrate two Creative hair styling one in short hair doughnut bun with curls, it was amazing and she madein easy way so that students get easily understand.Second hair style was Avante Garde it was advancetechnique of hair do.Students were taking interest andasking their queries and doubt also. Students practicethis hair style and cut in the class. Students were sohappy and gave thanks to the Guest.   

The whole program was coordinated by Dr. MadhuGupta,COO WCSC ,OSD to VC, DPSRU & ArchanaMehta Master Trainer WCSC DPSRU, presentedvote of thanks and shared her views related toinnovative beauty concept and approach with skillembedded in such type of Beauty WellnessConsultant courses. Everyone learnt by practicaldemonstration that was given by Ms.KhampuiThaimei and assisted by her teammates and finallyquery/feedback session was conducted in the lastphase of program in which students interactedwith experts and gave theirs views regarding   ofworkshop . The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ramesh K.Goyal, DPSRU did felicitation of guest and  presentthe university memento.He delivered theimportance of proper knowledge of theoreticalconcepts of beauty wellness and significance ofpresent needs of beauty wellness industry andbeauty therapy in India.

WCSC WorkshopDelhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and ResearchUniversity, World Class Skill Center: Sportsfitness and yoga application/Sports digitizationAnd Performance Management departmentorganized workshop on Accountancy, StatisticsAnd Event Management from 28th to 31stJanuary 2020. The whole program wascoordinated by Dr. Madhu Gupta. The guest ofthe event was Mr. Vinayak Mishra, who isworking in E&Y account firm as Audit associateand also a Certified Global Financial MarketProfessional from Bombay Stocking. He is alsocertified from National Institute of SecurityManagement (NISM). The guest was invited byDr. Jitender Kumar. Mr. Vinayak Mishra, guestof workshop explained about the basics ofaccounting, budgeting, statistics and eventmanagement.

Events at University

 The Academic Week was programmed from 10thFebruary 2020 till 12th February 2020 for thestudents of sports Fitness, Yoga Application andSports Digitalization and Performancemanagement of World class skill Centre. It wasconducted under the guidance of Chief operatingofficer Dr. Madhu Gupta for promoting theresearch activities and understanding thecapabilities of youth willing to participate insports. The theme on changing trends in sportsand uplifting the standards of the performance ofsports persons. The television sportscommentator was invited as the guest by Dr.Tusshar D. Alekar for judging the researchactivities and e-poster.   The research of physical fitness was conductedand gathered the data of the subject from theDPSRU participating in sports. They also preparedE-poster on the given theme.

On the first day of workshop the students wereexplained about the basic event Accounting,Profit/loss statement and how to create abalance sheetOn the second day the students were explainedabout how to keep the data digitally usingdifferent statistical methods.  On the third day the topic of the workshop wasBudget process, event flow, financial statementand spreadsheet development.      The fourth day of workshop was totally basedon hands on excel, tally, word file and powerpoint.

 

The workshop was ended with a question answerround based on the topics of the workshop whichwas thoroughly appreciated by the students

Academic Week forCertificate CoursesProgram

The Academic week was concluded with a seminarheld on 13th February. The presentation of theresearch work and e poster were displayed. The workwas appreciated by the jury member, research workand best e-poster were awarded. The guest of honourappreciated the theme necessary to bring the changein the area of sports.

Rotaract Club of DPSRU

 The Rotaract Initiative came to DPSRU on 2nd August2019, when Rotarians of Rotary Club Delhi Centralcame to our University and over 200 students ofdifferent courses got to interact with them. Interestedstudents began enrolling soon afterwards in hugenumbers as the chartering process for our club startedin the same month. Ankit Monga became the Charter President of RotaractClub of DPSRU on 11th August 2019. Our Club Charterarrived on 22nd October 2019. During this time, we as acharter club got a head start on functioning as a club,including ideating, brainstorming, planning andexecuting  many activities and projects within andoutside DPSRU. We have 100 university students as active rotaractors ofour club, and we have continued with greater spirittowards our Vision and Mission and conductedactivities for the betterment of our society. We hope tocontinue to take action and #BeTheChange for ourcommunity and our people, while nurturing our fellowrotaractors to become future leaders.

Pathak, Director, DIPSAR,  interacted andfaculty members interacted with students andteachers of Pharmacy Department, TrivandrumMedical College Kerala on 5th Feb, 2020. Thestudents were excited to see the first PharmacyUniversity of Country and motivated words ofwisdom by Hon’ble Vice chancellor Dr. (Prof.)Ramesh K. Goyal. The program was well co-ordinatedby Dr. Sachin Kumar, Asst. Prof., DIPSAR.Prof. Harvinder Popli delivered a Plenary talk“Challenges and Opportunities in Targeted DrugDelivery” at International conference at Nagpur on15th Feb. 2020.Hon’ble Vice chancellor Dr. (Prof.) Ramesh K. Goyaldelivered a Plenary Lecture at 7th InternationalCongress of Society for Ethnopharmacology held at Jamia Hamdard on 17th Feb. 2020.

Raag - The Music Society

Plato has said, "Music gives soul to the universe,wings to the mind, flight to imagination and life toeverything". The music society of DelhiPharmaceutical Sciences and Research University“Raag" is the most vivacious and lively culturalsociety. The society encourages the students toparticipate in variety of styles of music fromClassical to Western genres. Currently beingheaded by Ms. Ankita Gaur (B.Pharm 3rd Year) asPresident and Mr. Anshul Daksh (D.Pharm 2ndYear) as Vice President, Raag brought glories touniversity by winning not one, not two but threeevents at Health Mela 2019 in the Academic Year2019-20. First position in the Instrumental FusionMelodies on the theme “Music for Health” andSecond Position in two events; namely Rock Bandand Group Singing. Raag is always ahead when itcomes to giving a musical touch to all the eventshappening inside the university campus and theperformances are thoroughly enjoyed andappreciated by the faculty, staff and students.

Malang - The Dance Society

Malang in tenure of 2019-2020 participated andachieved bright brooches. The president PoornimaMaurya is student of 2nd year pursuing BPT and

the Vice President Manpreet Kaur is student of 2ndyear pursuing BPT, constantly motivating the verytalented Malangians. The hard work and constantefforts of Malangians awarded them with 1stposition in Health Mela 2019. They never fail toperform and give best performances in variouscollege events like Teacher's day, Fresher's partyand many more.They performed at the very firstinstallation ceremony of Rotaract club of DPSRUand their performance is admired by all theRotarians. They performed at annual day of DPSRU.The malangians aim to represent the charm ofDPSRU at national events. They want to create animpact on society by performing on various themeand conveying social messages through beautifuldance performances.

Verve - The Literary Society

Verve is currently being led by Ms. Ankita Gaur(B.Pharm 3rd Year, DPSRU) as President and Mr.Ankit Monga (B.Pharm 2nd Year, DPSRU) as VicePresident and has the primary objective of bringingall the passionate students from varied coursestogether to discuss, practice and to improvethemselves in the skill of public speaking as well astheir comprehensive personality Development.Verve is proud to share that now we have a team ofaround 50 students.

Paridrishya - The PhotographySociety

Recently a photography workshop was alsoconducted which was helmed by Mr VirendraSingh. The team has also underscored an onlinephotography Competition. Paridrishya hasunabatedly covered and shot almost all the officialand unofficial events of college and has made aphoto album of the same. The society's president,Gurneet Kaur khalsa (B.pharm 3rd year) believes inencapsulating both short term as well as long termgoals for the growth and vision of the consortium.The team is eagerly anticipating to direct aphotowalk and an inter college photographycompetition. They are also looking forward for asuccessful collaboration with panacea 2020 (theannual cultural fest hosted by IPGASF). Paridrishyahopes to maximize their participation as well asperformance at all spheres in the nearfuture.

Fitoor - The Dramatics Society Fitoor began in 2015 when our founder membersrealized that even in an all-academic college likeours, there were fellow students looking to honetheir passions beyond the strict standards ofpharmacy. So Fitoor was founded as a collaborationof all such like-minded individuals who wanted tocreate something that lasted beyond their years inthe college, giving it all that they had to offer, be itin terms of writing, singing, acting or just plain oldlove for the craft. Thus, in line with our traditions,Fitoor hopes to bring out the enthusiasm andchannelize this ardour towards creating awarenessand spreading a message to society. Fitoor also believes that the true purpose of nukkadis to be able to spread our message to the public.Therefore, combining our competitive and publicperformances, we manage to do 30+ showcases ofour production in an academic year.

All the students are real doers and have broughtlaurels to our university this academic year. Ourmembers work hard to bind audience to the stagein every event happening in the university campusalso, students have participated in variouscompetitions such as Health Mela 2019, VariousInter collegiate events held at Delhi university andhave also performed in slam poetry and open micsessions too.

This year under the leadership of President Mr.Praful Tiwari (B.Pharm 3rd Year, DIPSAR) and VicePresident Mr. Satyam Bhardwaj (B.Pharm 3rd Year,DPSRU) fitoor had performed at K.R. Mangalam,Aryabhatta college, IBHAAS, IIT Delhi, MotilalNehru College, Sri venkateswara college, Jesus andMary college and Sri aurobindo college.

Aakriti - The Art Society

The newly established art society Aakriti is a bunchof art enthusiast from our university who havecome together to fill colours in our day to dayuniversity events. Aakriti has around 25 studentsand is currently being lead by Ms. Ankeeta KumariPandey (B.Pharm 3rd Year, DIPSAR).

PharmIndustrial Pharmacy 1st Year, DPSRU), Ms. AayushiKuchroo (B.Pharm 3rd Year, DIPSAR) and Mr.Prabhjeet Singh (B.Pharm 2nd Year DIPSAR)participated at AICTE Chhatra VishwakarmaAwards (CVA) 2019 with their innovative idea“Swayam Kala: A handicraft conduit between therural and urban population” of increasinglivelihood in rural areas through intervention inTechnology/management practices. Their ideaqualified two rounds out of 5000+ applicationsfrom all over India and reached till the AICTERegional Level convention held on 10th January,2020 at Jagan Institute of Management Studies,Sector 5, Rohini and proudly represented DPSRUas one of the top institutional teams of AICTENorth West Region which includes four statesnamely Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi.Team Pharmareps was the only team frompharmacy background to present their project inthe regional convention and we cannot be morehonoured than this.

Forth Coming Events Sports Meet 2020 DPSR University is going to conduct its Annual Sportsmeet towards the end of February 2020 where everyyear students take part with full of zeal andenthusiasm in variety of athletics and other sportsevents.

Panacea: The First Pharma Fest DPSR University is collaborating with IndianPharmacy Graduates' Association (IPGA) for India'sFirst Pharma Fest "Panacea". It is a 2-Day Fest whichis going to held in our campus and has immensenumber of academic, cultural and gaming events.
