Operating your shades

Yourshadesaredesignedformanyyearsoftrouble-freeoperation.Followingtheseinstructionswillhelpyougetthemostfromyourinvestment.

Corded models: Cords,whetherinstalled on the left or right side, have thesamelockingmechanism.Toraisetheshade,pullthecordandreleaseit when the shade reachesthedesiredheight.Tolowertheshade,gentlypullthecordstowardthecenterofthewindow, and then release to lower the shade while maintainingconstanttensiononthecords.NOTE:Ifyourshadeshavehold-downbrackets, unhookthebottomrailbeforeraising.Do not force the cord; if the shade does not raise or lower, check for objects preventing proper operation.

Top-Down Bottom-Up models: To lower your shade from the top, use theleft-handcords.Pullthecordsgentlytowardthecenterofthe window, and then release to lower the shade.Gentlypullthecordstothelefttolocktheshadeinplace.To raise your shade back to the top, gentlypullthe left-handcordstowardthecenterofthewindowtounlockit,andthenpullthecordstoraisetheshade.To raise or lower the bottom of your shade, follow the sameprocessasabove,usingtheright-handcords.

5.Holdcord-stopinplaceandfirmlypullcordtore-tightenknot.

Yourshadehasbeencarefullyinspectedandadjustedbythefactory,butminoradjustmentsmaybenecessaryonceithasbeeninstalled.Theyarnsinyourshadeareflexibleenoughtopermitminoradjustmenthorizontallyandverticallyforproperalignmentonyourwindow.Ifthebottomofyourshadebecomesuneven,pulleithersidetostretchtheyarnandaligntheshade.Ifyourshadedoesn’tlieflatagainstthewallorwindow,rolltheshadetightlyfromthebottomandtwistrollclockwiseononesideandcounterclockwiseontheother.Thiswillaligntheyarnsandslats.Shouldastrandofyarnslipofftheedgeoftheshade,removethestrandfromtoptobottom;doingsowillinnowayaffectthestrengthoftheshade.
