Individuals May Join Job Corps if They:• Are 16 to 24-years-old at the time they start their Job Corps training and have a low income.
• Are a high school dropout or a graduate, both are eligible and welcome in Job Corps.
• Are in high school and receive a school recommendation for Job Corps.
• Do not have a history of serious criminal or anti-social behavior.
• Are willing to work hard and to obey the program’s rules, including a strict zero tolerance policy for drugs, gang activity and violence.

Your First 60 Days at Job Corps• An allowance starting at $50 and going up to $100 per month.
• A total of $420 for clothing given in four installments over 14-months.
• Up to a $1,200 transition allotment for graduates plus 12-months support services.
• Medical and dental care, including a physical exam and drug test soon after you arrive at Job Corps.
• Recreation and leadership activities.
