IN 1984, SOMETHING CHANGED THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY FOREVER.

Our doors opened.

Since then, we’ve grown. We’ve driven innovation. And we’ve

invested £3.5bn in the plant. In fact, we’ve been the UK’s

largest car producer for 16 years.

And the biggest car exporter for 14.

We even made UK automotive history when we became the fastest car

manufacturer to reach the two million mark with one model – the Qashqai.

An impressive heritage. But at Nissan, we’re far more interested in the future. The challenges ahead. Our impact on the engineering landscape. And the potential waiting to be untapped – both in our plant and our people.

If you’re a talented Maintenance Technician, join us. And drive your future too.

PAINT SHOP PREPARE AND PAINT THE BODY SHELLS TO PRODUCE A QUALITY FINISH.

PLASTICS SHOP USE INJECTION MOULDING TO CREATE ALL OUR PLASTIC COMPONENTS.

CASTING SHOP PRODUCE ALUMINIUM COMPONENTS IN STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES.

UNIT SHOP BUILD AND TEST ENGINES, CYLINDER HEADS AND CAMSHAFTS.

TRIM & CHASSIS BRING IT ALL TOGETHER, FITTING EACH BODY THROUGH ASSEMBLY LINES.

FINAL LINE TEST EVERYTHING (FROM BRAKES TO WATERPROOFING) BEFORE THE CAR’S READY.

From parts to the production of popular vehicles, our plant is nothing less than mesmerising. Everything works seamlessly together. All in industry-leading facilities.

And, as a Maintenance Technician, they’re facilities you’ll love getting your hands on – and in, around and under.

VARIETY. CHALLENGES. SCOPE.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll enjoy them all as you keep every cog turning smoothly at any, or all, of these production stages.

WHO WE LOOK FOR

People with experience as an electrical or mechanical Maintenance Technician. People qualified to at least ONC/BTEC National Level 3. And people who can’t wait to get started in a top-of-its-game plant like ours.

That means someone who’s honed their craft in a high volume manufacturing environment. And worked to very exacting timescales, cost constraints and of course, quality standards – whether in the automotive industry or not.

THE ROLE

We produce a world-class car every 60 seconds. That means every single second counts. And that

our Maintenance Technicians are absolutely central to our operations, in four key ways:

REACTIVE MAINTENANCE – whatever it takes to rapidly resolve breakdowns and downtime

PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE – using methodologies such as PPM, PdM and Condition Based Maintenance

IMPROVEMENT MAINTENANCE – helping us to work even more efficiently and introduce new models

INVESTIGATIVE MAINTENANCE – applying analytical tools to pinpoint root causes and stop problems reoccurring
