February
• 5th February –lunchtime drop-in session in S7 with Mrs Bushell
• 6th February – lunchtime drop-in session in S7 with Mrs Bushell and former SHS student
• 7th February – study period careers information session in Room 1 – three former SHS students talk about their apprenticeships
Apprenticeships
• Chance to gain employability skills
• Could be a volunteer placement, instead of employment
• Could be a place in the Forces, the Army, RAF or Navy
• At least 20 hours per week
• Must include a RECOGNISED training or education programme, which leads to an accredited qualification – 280 GLH

As an adult you will have changed

adult life and have 10-14 jobs by the
age of 38. A lifelong career with one
