Application Process

1. What formal documentation is required to apply for a position posted to Careers Marketplace?

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 3

A CV/resume is required for all applicants. Additional supporting documentation such as a cover letter or other information on your profile is optional. Keep your CV/resume current and clearly outline your skills, proficiencies and work experience. Recruiters must be able to compare your CV/resume to the requirements in the role description to assess your candidacy.

Please note that Careers Marketplace displays information (e.g., skills) from myCV/Resume in your profile and allows you to link back to myScheduling to make updates as necessary. You can download your CV/resume from myScheduling and attach to your application, but it will not be sent automatically to Recruiting when you apply. If you do not have a CV/Resume in myCV/Resume or it does not reflect your recent skills and experience, please visit https://myscheduling.accenture.com to update your CV/resume.

2. How and when should I apply to positions posted to Careers Marketplace?

You should only apply for a position if you believe you are qualified. Please keep in mind that demand changes frequently, so a position that is posted one day may not be available the next. Being prepared is important, so use the resources available in Careers Marketplace Prepare section to become familiar with the tool ahead of time.

If you are interested in a new position, you are encouraged to discuss your aspirations with your Supervisor and Career Counselor. Make sure your client obligations are met while you pursue a new position.

3. Can I use Careers Marketplace to apply for an open internal position outside of my home location (international transfer)?

Individuals in India will not see open positions in other Accenture geographies until FY16. Only domestic opportunities will be visible in FY15.

In FY16, if you have the required skills and experience, you may apply for internal positions outside of your home location, including those that require an international transfer. Note that you must also meet the Accenture policy guidelines (see Policy 44 - Permanent Transfers) and acknowledge the work authorization requirements for the desired country.

Where possible, you are strongly encouraged to explore suitable opportunities within your home location as a priority before considering positions outside the country and/or GU. Most countries/GUs will look to fill positions locally before

extending the candidate base to other locations because of cost and time implications.

Please note that GCP opportunities will be visible in Careers Marketplace beginning in August 2015. See the GCP section below for more information about applying to a GCP assignment.

4. Can I update my resume after submitting an application? Can I withdraw my application?

If you need to update your resume after it has been initially submitted, you can send an email directly to the recruiter. To avoid confusion please ensure you submit the proper version of your CV during application.

5. Can I see how many other employees have applied for a specific position?

No, this type of information is considered confidential and can only be accessed by the responsible recruiter(s).

6. Will I be in competition with external candidates when applying for the same position?

When positions are posted both internally and externally, both internal and external candidates usually apply. Only qualified candidates proceed through the process, and all candidates are held to the same standards.

7. Does it make sense to apply for a position if you do not meet all the requirements for the position?

No, it does not make sense to apply for a position if you are not fully qualified. Every job description will clearly define the minimum and/or basic qualifications (including all the "must have" skill requirements) associated with the position. We recommend that you review all position details and confirm you meet the minimum and/or basic qualifications criteria before you submit your application.

Correspondence and Notifications

1. Can I notify others about a specific position via Careers Marketplace?

Yes. By clicking on the position title and selecting "Share" you can send a link to a specific position to anyone within Accenture via email. At this time, there are no automatic notifications, and your career counselor will not receive a system-generated notification when you apply.

2. Can I be notified of new open positions?

Yes, you can create an alert by clicking on the suitcase icon on the right of the screen and creating a new alert. Using keywords and filters you can be notified of new opportunities that match your interests.

For Supervisors and Career Counselors

1. A team member I supervise (or counselee) is interested in using Careers Marketplace to find a new opportunity. Are there any transition and/or navigation tips I can share to support him/her in the search?

Yes. There are many things you can do to coach your employee(s) seeking a career transition, some of which are:

First familiarize yourself with Careers Marketplace resources and functionality

Seek to understand the type of position your employee(s) is interested in and ensure he/she has visited Career Connection to explore all of his/her career options

Based on his/her areas of interest, encourage your employee(s) to set regular position posting alerts and to discuss these opportunities with you to gauge interest and fit. Employees can set alerts in the tool to receive email notifications of new positions daily, weekly, or monthly. Notifications will only be sent to the email address on file for that employee.

Ensure your employee(s) has an updated resume and his/her skills are up to date in myCV/Resume

In addition to the social connections provided in Careers Marketplace, help connect your employee(s) to individuals in your network who are in roles of interest

Leverage the Career Counselling at Accenture site for discussion guides to support employees during their career transition

2. My team member or counselee has accepted a new position. What do I need to know regarding transition timeframes and are there materials that can assist him/her with a seamless transition?

Transition release dates ensure employees can transition to new positions in a timely manner. Because transition release dates vary by country/GU, possible exceptions to this timeframe need to be discussed and agreed on by entity leadership. If an employee is making an international transfer, additional transition time will be considered for securing work authorization, relocation, etc.

Once the start date is confirmed, please visit the "Transition" tab in Careers Marketplace for transition checklists, tips from Accenture colleagues and other

helpful resources. The goal, as with any transition, is to minimize the impact on the business to uphold commitments to the client. A recruiting professional will consider these factors and help your team member or counselee makes the transition as quickly as possible into her/his new position.

Country Transition TimeIndia 8 weeks

3. I am looking to bring a few resources on to my team. Do all hiring needs

need to be posted in Careers Marketplace? How do I get started?

All permanent demand (either additions or replacements to headcount) should be visible in Careers Marketplace. You can contact your local HR Supply/Demand team to initiate this process and if the demand is for a permanent position it will be handed over to recruiting. For Corporate Functions hiring needs, you can contact recruiting directly.

4. I was just informed that my team member has passed the first interview for a new position. Are there any actions I can start to take in the event he/she is offered the position?

Yes. Although your team member/counselee will still be assessed by the hiring manager for the position against other candidates, in the interim, you can take the following actions:

If you or your employee has questions regarding next steps and/or what to expect, reach out to either the recruiter of the position and/or to the local HR team. Also, stay in close contact with the employee to understand when the assessment interview will take place.

Offer guidance as he/she prepares for the interview and encourage the employee to visit the "Prepare" section of Careers Marketplace where interview preparation material is available.

Familiarize yourself with the release dates that have been established for your country/GU. Release dates provide guidance on the period of time your employee will have to make the transition in the event he/she is offered and accepts the position.

You can begin to think about backfilling the role; however, no action should be taken until the interview process is closed and your employee is informed of the outcomes of the hiring decision.

Offer Management and Total Rewards

1. What happens to planned vacation time that was approved by my current supervisor before I accepted an offer for a new position?

Planned and pre-approved vacation time, should be discussed directly with the

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 7

recruiter and hiring manager as part of the interview process to ensure the plans align with the expectations of the new position.

2. If I accept a new permanent position, will I receive a new contract? What about total compensation?

Contract adjustments and changes to Total Rewards will be evaluated and assessed as they are today, based on the position, country, GU, and/or business entity. These are great questions to ask the recruiter during the initial screening interview, and will help you weigh the benefits of pursuing a new position.

Process/Policy Guidelines and Eligibility

1. How much time will I be given to review and respond to an offer? What if I applied to other positions for which I have not yet been informed of a final decision?

You are required to discuss all other internal applications with each recruiter during the internal transfer process. The recruiters will work together to ensure they keep each other updated and are aware of your status with each position. Even though all recruiters are aggressively trying to fill open positions, they will likely have different schedules so make sure to keep the lines of communication open to optimize your experience. Should you get to the offer stage for one position while still waiting to complete the process for a second position, you'll need to discuss options with the recruiters and determine an approach that works best for you and your career. Please be aware that while waiting the confirmation of your preferred position, you may lose the possibility of filling other positions.

2. Do I need approval from my career counselor, supervisor, or deployed-to entity (DTE) to apply for open positions using Careers Marketplace?

No. As part of the new Policy 0500 guidelines, career counselor and supervisor approvals will not be required. However, we strongly advise that you notify your career counselor and/or supervisor as they can provide feedback on your skills and experience relative to the position you are interested in and provide guidance on interviewing, etc.

However, a recruiter will need to confirm that you informed your supervisor/ career counselor before moving you forward for a position. At this time approvals are still required for cross-border transfers.

3. Can I apply for more than one open position at the same time using Careers Marketplace?

While the Careers Marketplace site will accept two applications, we encourage

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 8

you to carefully consider the most suitable opportunity and limit your application to the one that is the best fit. Given the large volume of roles that will be posted, remaining with one application per employee will continue to ensure a positive employee experience, will make optimal use of your time and ensure that we continue to meet business needs as efficiently as possible. We will revisit our ability to increase the number of applications per individual in our next phase of Careers Marketplace.

4. Why do I have to be in my current position for 12 months before being allowed to apply for another one? Are there exceptions to this policy?

Under the requirements of global Policy 0500, Permanent Position Transfers, we require that all employees stay in a permanent position for at least a year to minimize risk to our client commitments and to ensure business expectations are not interrupted. In addition, performing in a particular function for at least 12 months should support building the skills and experience needed to position yourself effectively for the next opportunity. Exceptions to the policy are acceptable in cases when an employee's position has been eliminated or where there is a significant business need and both entities agree to the exception.

5. How and when should my career counselor/supervisor be involved in the application process? Whom can I speak to if she/he is not supportive of my application?

It is a best practice to discuss your interest in applying to a position with your career counselor, supervisor, or People Advisor/Talent Fulfillment Specialist before submitting an application. To limit interruptions to the business or client, your career counselor/supervisor and local HR contact will need to be informed after the recruiter screening interview, should you continue to move forward in the process. If your career counselor/supervisor is not supportive of your application, we encourage you to speak directly with the recruiter and/or your People Advisor/Talent Fulfillment Specialist.

Please note you can only see your own profile and application information. Career counselors/supervisors will not be automatically notified of your application.

6. How long will recruiters wait for internal candidates to apply to an open position before moving forward with an external applicant who is qualified and interested in the same position?

Although there is not a definite "wait time," recruiters are expected to use their best judgment when managing scenarios like this. The total length of time a recruiter would wait before pursuing external candidates could depend on how long the position has been open, if there are internal candidates in the pipeline, or what the recruiter and hiring manager feel is best for the business.

Searching for a New Opportunity

1. What is the difference between a role and a permanent position?

All employees are in a role, linked to their talent segment, which provides greater specificity about the responsibilities, skills, proficiencies and experiences needed to excel and grow. A position is a specific instance of a role within an organization or geography. There can be multiple positions available for the same role, across multiple locations. For example, there could be five open positions in UK/I and three open positions in Brazil for the role of Software Engineering Team Lead.

2. What opportunities can I see in Careers Marketplace?

You will be able to see all open positions that have been posted internally in Careers Marketplace. There are some situations where we cannot post positions internally due to special agreements (e.g., client restrictions), or when a position is filled through succession planning. In addition, open positions for GCP will be available in Careers Marketplace.

3. Will positions visible to Accenture employees through Careers Marketplace always be visible to external candidates?

No. Any position that is posted externally should also be visible to Accenture employees in Careers Marketplace. However, some positions are only posted internally because internal resources with the required skills are available and interested. Finding a skills and profile match from within Accenture is always a priority.

4. Am I required to use Careers Marketplace to apply for open positions? What if I learn about a new opportunity through my professional network and cannot find the position in Careers Marketplace?

Yes. If there is a position that you are made aware of through networking, including your career counselor/supervisor, you should access Careers Marketplace to search for the position and apply, if qualified and interested. The goal is to ensure all positions are posted; however, if for some reason you do not see the position, we recommend you investigate the details further with the person who made you aware and contact the applicable business owner and/or recruiter directly.

5. If I would like to contact the hiring manager for an open position directly, can I see her/his name in Careers Marketplace?

The name of the hiring manager will not be available in the job description.

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 10

However, you should see the contact information of the responsible recruiter. Keep in mind that once your application is received, the recruiter will first need to compare your skills against the basic qualifications of the position and then follow that with a more formal screening interview. Should you proceed further in the process, you will be connected with the hiring manager for additional interviews.

Tracking the status of an application

1. If I applied to an open position and was not selected how can I remove the position from the Track page?

Navigate to the "Track" page of Careers Marketplace website and you will notice that all applications, "Accepted", "In Progress", and "Not Selected" are listed. "Not Selected" applications are listed at the bottom. To remove the positions for which you were not selected permanently, you can click the "X" button to the left of the "Not Selected" applications.

2. If I am not offered a position I applied for, will I be informed of the rationale?

The responsible recruiter will inform you of your application status throughout the process. Should you have additional questions about your candidacy after speaking to the recruiter, feel free to reach out for further information.

3. If I am not offered a position I applied for, will I be allowed to apply for another open position?

Yes. If the status of your application has been updated in the tool or you have been notified that you will not be pursued for an interview, you may now apply to another position.

4. How long after applying for an open position will I be notified of my candidacy? Will I get alerts when my application status changes?

Notification times vary based on the number of applications received and the urgency to fill the new position. Although you will not receive an alert when your application status changes, you will be able to track the status of your application in Careers Marketplace.

NOTE: You will also receive ongoing correspondence from the recruiter and/or recruiting system via email as your status changes. If you need more detailed information you can contact the recruiter responsible for filling the position.

Transitioning to a New Position

1. If I accept a new position, will I get a new career counselor?

Most likely, yes. If you accept a permanent internal position in another entity or function, you will be realigned to a new career counselor who can best represent your career interests. Timing of the realignment will be based on your transition timeframe.

2. How long after accepting an open position will I wait before I can transition to my new position?

Transition release dates ensure employees can transition to new positions in a timely manner. India transition release date is within 8 weeks. Because transition release dates vary by country/GU, any exceptions to this timeframe should be discussed and agreed on by entity leadership. If you are making an international transfer, additional transition time will be considered for securing work authorization, relocation, etc. Once your start date is confirmed, please visit the "Transition" tab in Careers Marketplace for transition checklists, tips from Accenture colleagues, and other helpful resources. The goal, as with any transition, is to minimize the impact on the business to uphold commitments to the client. A recruiting professional will consider these factors and help you make the transition as quickly as possible into your new position.

GCP

1. What is GCP?

Global Careers Program (GCP) is also known as Policy 750 International Temporary Transfers for Groups which is for employees travelling internationally on a temporary basis to fulfill business or geographic needs, gain international experience or staff new markets. GCP assignments can be identified in Careers Marketplace via a globe icon next to the title of the opportunity. You can search and filter by using keywords such as GCP.

2. Who can apply to open GCP assignments in Careers Marketplace?

All employees who are eligible and meet the GCP qualifications can apply to a GCP assignment. If applying from an entity other than ACN Technology, this means that you will also transfer to ACN Technology if selected as the final candidate for the GCP assignment.

3. How long after applying for an open GCP assignment will I be notified of my candidacy? Will I get alerts when my application status changes?

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 12

You may view the status of your application in Careers Marketplace via the ‘Track’ page. Additionally, you will be receiving notifications from the tool at different stages of your application.

4. Who do I reach out to for clarifications of the notifications that I received? For GCP demands, the TFS Scheduler POC will be able to provide you with any clarification that you need on your application. You can view the scheduler name on the job description page in Careers Marketplace as well as on the track applications page once applied.

5. Can I apply for more than one GCP assignment in Careers Marketplace?

While the Careers Marketplace site will accept two GCP applications (in addition to the two applications that are accepted for permanent transfer), we encourage you to carefully consider the most suitable GCP opportunity and limit your application to the one that is the best fit. Given the large volume of GCP assignments that will be posted, remaining with one application per employee will continue to ensure a positive employee experience, will make optimal use of your time and ensure that we continue to meet business needs as efficiently as possible. We will revisit our ability to increase the number of GCP applications per individual in our next phase of Careers Marketplace.

6. Do I need approval from my career counselor, supervisor, or deployed-to entity (DTE) to apply for open GCP assignments using Careers Marketplace?

If you have been on your current project for at least 12 months OR you are currently on the bench, then you do not need a supervisor approval before applying. Otherwise, a supervisor approval is required before applying. If applying across entity, then it is assumed that you will transfer (if selected) as part of the GCP assignment. In these situations, as with any permanent transfer and under the Global Policy 0500 guidelines, career counselor and supervisor approvals are not required. In all scenarios, we strongly advise that you notify your career counselor and/or supervisor as they can provide feedback on your skills and experience relative to the position you are interested in and provide guidance.

7. If I am currently from an entity besides Technology and I am accepted to a GCP assignment, what will happen upon my return from the GCP assignment?

Given that you will need to transfer to Accenture Technology before being officially assigned to the GCP assignment, you will be considered as a

Copyright © 45054 Accenture All Rights Reserved. 13

Technology resource when you return. At that time, you will be connected with your TFS (HR professional responsible for your scheduling) for further assistance.

8. If I am currently from an entity besides Technology and I am selected for a GCP assignment and I transfer to Technology, what happens if I later decline the GCP offer or my visa is declined?

Due to the international component of GCP assignments, we expect that you carefully consider the implications of working in a host country prior to applying. If for unforeseen reason you are unable to fulfil the GCP assignment, then you will remain in ACN Technology, on the bench or in another scheduling capacity.

9. Will there be additional requirements other than the CV when applying to a GCP role?

To be considered a best fit candidate, your primary/secondary skill should match the required skill of the position. Otherwise, you’ll need to meet the eligibility criteria and attach a CV, which is required upon application to a GCP assignment. In addition, if you are accepted to the GCP assignment, additional documents may be required.
