The name "cappuccino" was given to the drink, because the froth peaks resembled the hoods of Capuchin Monks. Barbie's full name is Barbie Millicent Roberts. Trivia is the Roman goddess of sorcery, hounds and the crossroads. Bike Donation We were very happy and surprised to receive a donation last week from David and Octavia from the Blackheath Community Opportunity Shop. A modified bike had been donated to their shop and they thought of us! I hope everyone has a great holiday break and comes back next term refreshed. Staff return on Monday 30 th April with students on Tuesday 1 st May. See you next term! Jane It’s hard to believe that it has been a year since we bid farewell to Mr. Moon. We now have to farewell two students who are leaving Carenne. Anthony from Class W has been with us for 3 years and is moving to Queensland in the holidays. Anthony will be greatly missed by all his friends and teachers in the junior school. We also sadly say goodbye to Ryan who started at Carenne in 2006. Ryan and his family are moving to Wollongong and while we are very sad to see him go, we are happy that he is going to be reunited with Mr. Baker who is a teacher at his new school. We will definitely miss seeing his amazing dance moves and hearing about his love of trucks. We also say “have fun” rather than farewell to Kasey who is leaving on a big adventure as his family travel around Australia. We can’t wait to hear all about his trip when he returns in Term 4. We recently hosted our annual Easter Hat Parade to a packed out audience. The students love to showcase their Easter designs and appreciate everyone who attended. We hope everyone enjoyed our Easter cat walk!

Class B - Where

has the term gone!!! Class

B have had a wonderful

term, highlights are the

Rhythm Village, Easter Hat

Parade, Pet Therapy &

Sensory workshops. Have a

safe holiday see you next

term.

Class M - Have been

enjoying the

Commonwealth Games

activities & cooking with

Mrs. Ravesi.

Class K - Enjoyed

a great outing at the

Aquatic Centre last week.

All of our students have

also been working hard

with their Wednesday

work experience. We have

also been doing projects

on the Commonwealth

Games.

Class R - We have

been very interested in our

work on the

Commonwealth Games.

Everyone is improving

behaviour on the

playground and looking

forward to the holidays.

Class S - We have

really enjoyed learning

about different events at

the Commonwealth Games

this term. Term One has

flown by and we are now

ready for a nice break.

Enjoy your holidays.

Class T - Have been

learning about halves. We

have used fruit and other

foods to make halves. We

are looking forward to a

well earned rest after our

busy term.

Class Mc - We have

continued to enjoy and

learn about the many

wonderful events of the

2018 Commonwealth

Games.

Class C - Have

continued to learn about

the Commonwealth

Games. We can't believe

how many gold medals

Australia has won.

Class F - Students

have been learning about

the Commonwealth Games

on the Gold Coast. We

have enjoyed doing the

medal tally and seeing how

successful Australia is. Go

Aussie!

Class W - Are

finishing up the term with

fantastic behaviour. Our

Waste 2 Art master piece

is almost completed, see it

at the BMEC next term.

Class L - Our playground

award day was awesome,

thanks to all concerned for

a wonderful term. Have a

nice break.

Class N - Have had

a great time at ten pin

bowling for our playground

reward and also on our trip

to O’Connell and Ben

Chifley Dam. Have a great

break.

Class O - Have had

a wonderful term. We are

ready for the holidays.

Have a nice break

to Ryan. We will miss you.

Class A - The students

would like to thank

everyone who have helped

with the programs like

TAFE, RDA & work

experience that the

students have undertaken

this term .

Macquarie Tutorial Centre

Students at MTC have had

a wonderful term. The

highlight was our open day

where we were able to

share experiences and our

hard work with family,

teachers and friends.
