Fun Facts
ABBA got their name
by taking the first
letter from each of
their first names
(Agnetha, Bjorn,
Benny, Anni-Fri).
The name
"cappuccino" was
given to the drink,
because the froth
peaks resembled the
hoods of Capuchin
Monks.
Barbie's full name is
Barbie Millicent
Roberts.
Trivia is the Roman
goddess of sorcery,
hounds and the
crossroads.
Bike Donation
We were very happy and
surprised to receive a
donation last week from
David and Octavia from
the Blackheath Community
Opportunity Shop. A
modified bike had been
donated to their shop and
they thought of us!
I hope everyone has a great
holiday break and comes
back next term refreshed.
Staff return on Monday 30th
April with students on
Tuesday 1st May.
See you next term!
Jane
It’s hard to believe that it
has been a year since we
bid farewell to Mr. Moon.
We now have to farewell
two students who are
leaving Carenne.
Anthony from Class W has
been with us for 3 years
and i s mov ing to
Queensland in the holidays.
Anthony will be greatly
missed by all his friends and
teachers in the junior
school.
We also sadly say goodbye
to Ryan who started at
Carenne in 2006. Ryan and
his family are moving to
Wollongong and while we
are very sad to see him go,
we are happy that he is
going to be reunited with
Mr. Baker who is a teacher
at his new school. We
will definitely miss seeing
his amazing dance moves
and hearing about his love
of trucks.
We also say “have fun”
rather than farewell to
Kasey who is leaving on a
big adventure as his family
travel around Australia.
We can’t wait to hear all
about his trip when he
returns in Term 4.
We recently hosted our
annual Easter Hat Parade
to a packed out audience.
The students love to
showcase their Easter
designs and appreciate
everyone who attended.
We hope everyone
enjoyed our Easter cat
walk!
