•  Our  study  addresses  the  limited  a[enNon  on  adolescents’  percep9ons  of  family-­‐level  economic  hardship  and  its  links  to  parent-­‐adolescent  relaNonships  among  Mexican  American  families.

from  the  perspecNve  of  Mexican-­‐origin  adolescents,  a  rapidly  growing  segment  of  the  U.S.  populaNon  

•  Addressed  adolescents’  percep9ons  of  hardship  as  a  salient  mechanism  in  link  to  parent-­‐adolescent  relaNonship  quality  (i.e.,  acceptance  and  conflict)  

•  Mother-­‐adolescent  and  father-­‐adolescent  relaNonships
