What is this?
• Hello! You have been chosen to test out this prototype for a mobile version of the SJSU Library Website.
• To run the prototype, view this file as a slide show starting from page 7.– The blue links can be clicked.– The green links are just for appearance.
Steps:
1. Fulfill the scenarios on the next two pages. Document the steps you undertook.
2. Answer the questions as best as you can.
3. Submit the steps and answers to [email protected]
Scenarios for Testers:
1. You’re exploring this website for the first time. Where do you go first? What is your rationale?
2. You need to find an article on a certain topic for school, and fast. What do you do?
3. You wonder if the library is open on Sunday night. How do you find out?
4. You have a reference question. Where do you go?
Scenarios for Testers (Cont.):
5. You want to see if the library has a copy of a book in which you are interested. How do you find out?
6. You want to know if the library subscribes to a certain journal. How do you go about this?
7. You wonder, are there any upcoming library exhibits?
8. You want to contact the library by e-mail. Is this possible?
Questions for Testers:
1. How does the prototype compare with the normal website?
2. Are you familiar with mobile websites? How does the prototype stack up to them?
3. When navigating the prototype, did you encounter any mental hesitations? If so, where?
4. Any other problems?
