Casa de la Viña with its cobbled Mancha-style courtyards takes us back in time to

1857 when this country mansion was founded by the Count of Casavaliente,

pioneer in winemaking in the area of Valdepeñas. Here in the heart of Castilla-La

Mancha, the Casa de la Viña estate is located at an altitude of some 700m in a

privileged environment.

The vineyards, sheltered by low hills, lie on either side of the Azuer River which

provides some humidity in such a dry climate. Soils are ideal for viticulture; low

in organic material and varying from sandy slopes to the lower-lying clayier soils

capable of retaining moisture.

Casa de la Viña is a Castillian Chateau, a typical mansion and winery surrounded

by its own vineyards in a picturesque setting. The wines are produced under the

quality control certifications of DO Valdepeñas and Vdlt Castilla. The singular

nature of this historic estate with its special microclimate confers to the wines a

full-bodied and unique character. This gift of nature is enhanced by the skill of

generations of experience in the tending of vines, from the old bush-vines

Tempranillo and Airen, traditional to the area, to newer varietals such as Syrah,

Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc.

CASA DE LA VIÑA WHITE

(VDLT CASTILLA)

Winemaking: White wine produced with carefully selected grapes from our own vineyards. After a

light crushing and cold maceration, it is decanted for 12 hours at 10⁰C to ultimately initiate the

alcoholic fermentation at low temperature to obtain the maximum varietal aromas in the wine.

Tasting notes: Pale shimmery yellow with subtle green hues. Bright and appealing. Distinct

tropical fruit aromas, well integrated, with hints of citric fruit and floral notes. Fresh and elegant

with a smooth, silky palate. Palpable fruitiness. Subtle finish full of nuances. A feast for the senses.

Serving advice: Best served at 6-8°C. It combines brilliantly with all types of fish and seafood such

as Tuna, Turbot and Cod. It can also be served along with roasted poultry provided it is not too

spicy.

CASA DE LA VIÑA ROSE

(VDLT CASTILLA)

Winemaking: Produced from exclusively selected grapes. For the Rose it is necessary to limit the

pigmentation with only the drain by gravity. In the elaboration of the Casa de la Viña Rose, all the technical

elements are used. Thus, after a light crushing and cold maceration the must goes through a vessel at 17°C

where its alcoholic fermentation begins. This method ensures obtaining the maximum varietal aromas from

the grapes.

Tasting notes: Pale pink with attractive subtle hues. Bright and clear. Remarkable yet delicate bouquet of

ripe raspberry with hints of strawberry candy. Subtle floral and lactic notes are perceived. Fresh yet full

mouth-feel, relaying both youth and silkiness. Full fruit is sensed right through, and lingers on.

Serving advice: Best served at 10-12⁰C with rice, fish, pasta and roasted poultry provided it is not very spicy.

SEÑORIO DE VAL RED

(D.O. VALDEPEÑAS)

Winemaking: Red wine produced with Tempranillo grapes from our own vineyards. After closely

monitoring the pruning, growth and maturation of the grapes (pulp and skins) from each parcel,

we proceed to the selection and hand-harvesting of each vineyard. Through an optimal balance

between "short maceration" and "temperature selection" during fermentation (initially high in

order to extract the body of the wine and tumultuous-low to extract aromas), we manage to

express the aromatic complexity (floral and fruity), full-body and violet aromas typical of this area.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Medium density cherry red, bright.

Nose: Reminiscent of strawberries and forest fruits.

Palate: Harmonious with sufficient acidity, soft and easy to drink.

Serving advice: Best served at 12-16°C with red meat, poultry, roasts, stews,

mushrooms and mature cheese.

SEÑORIO DE VAL WHITE

(D.O. VALDEPEÑAS)

Tasting notes: Colour: Bright and clean with green hues. Nose: Medium to high intensity. Hints of pear and melon. Palate: Pleasantly sweet, fruity mouth-feel. Serving advice: Best served at 6-8⁰C with fish and seafood such as Tuna, Turbot or Cod. It can also be served along with roasted poultry provided it is not too spicy.

SEÑORIO DE VAL ROSE

(D.O. VALDEPEÑAS)

Winemaking: Rose wine produced with Tempranillo grapes from our own vineyards. The wine is

made from selected grapes. After a light crush and cold maceration, it is decanted to later be

ultimately initiate the alcoholic fermentation at a temperature at which the maximum varietal

aromas are obtained.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Bright, pink cherry.

Nose: High intensity, very fruity; strawberry and red cherry.

and American oak barrels, with different degree of toasting in order to enhance the flavours of the

Tempranillo.

Tasting notes:
