Webby Award Winners

We Move.org – Life In MotionFeatures a produced video of a mime interpreting the condition of restless leg syndrome. It includes patient education materials, webinars, live event alerts, and downloadable assets.

Pfizer – Florida: A Healthy StateWebsite tracked a number of patients through a healthy-living program sponsored by Pfizer and the state of Florida.The site includes interactive elements such as Flash animation, slide show/video players, dynamic menu generation and a custom built application for easy content administration.

AAFA – Asthma CapitalsThe Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America posts a regular update of the top 100 challenging areas in the U.S. for asthma. The interactive map was built in Flash connected to a back end database to easily add or edit information reflected on the map.

Novo Nordisk – Diabetes AwareDiabetes Aware uses celebrity and patient profiles to spark diabetes education.The site utilizes a Flash interface to manage a wealth of content, making it easier to navigate – pop-up tips help alert users to key information.Streaming audio and video clips are available in gallery format from page to page.

Collaborative Environments

UCB – Crohn’s AdvocateA secured environment using the Backpack solution in Basecamp was customized. It featured shareable calendars, authorship, journals, logs, documents, galleries, and status reports.

Heart Failure MattersDeveloped for the European Society of Cardiology, this SharePoint site was built to handle multi-lingual growth as well as multie-user authorship and access. It crosses audiences and is aided by a guided avatar.

Genzyme & Abbott – Light Of Life FoundationUsing the Kentico system, an environment was developed to deploy differing levels of authorship and content management. The site also has feeds in from Vimeo and Facebook.

Coca Cola – SparkED Institute intranetDeveloped in an XHTML shell with CSS integrated into SharePoint. This site was built for user driven scalability to house various types of media and digital assets. Workgroup environments, calendar functions, Outlook integration, are also featured.

Social MediaUCB – Crohn’s And Me – FacebookUCB wanted to create a Facebook page to allow Crohn’s patients to develop and upload articles. This had to be governed closely under FDA regulations so the page had to be custom developed to ensure security yet allow designated author permissions. This included integrating brand elements of the existing Crohn’s & me identity. The page also includes downloadable assets, videos, and image galleries.

Novo Nordisk – Twitter pageLeveraging the Twitter activity and notoriety of race car driver Charlie Kimball, a diabetes sufferer, aTwitter page focused on his condition and it’sthematic relation to racing was launched.

Novo Nordisk – Social Media Site (in progress)The “Divabetic” brand launched by Max enjoyed notoriety with its celebrity connection as well as various events held throughout the year. In order to extend its reach and community, a fully functional proprietary social media site was proposed including features such as; group creation, individual profiles, diaries, webcasts, chat, etc. It also included value added feeds from relevant areas within Novo Nordisk sites.

Novo Nordisk – Dancin’ to change diabetesThis online contest enjoyed great success as participants shot video of themselves dancing and posted them to a user driven microsite. It included an alert system for administrators to review content as well as an email digest to contest participants.

IBM – Recruitment CDScope: Interactive CD given to prospective “A” level recruits to guide them through their possible compensation package.Role: development, production

IBM – online e-serverScope: Interactive online Flash piece guiding users in the ease and components of using an e-serverRole: development, design, production

Olympus – Osyris, Scope: Interactive CD as a digital asset updater that would allow field reps the ability to author CD’s themselves with the newest relevant information and assets.Role: development, design, project management

O v e r v i e wThe following are examples of projects I have been involved with at various capacities.

A p p r o a c hWhen engaging client projects, the critical first step, is to listen. Listening is learning and understanding from which additional discovery, strategy and execution stem from. Although the client may have a specific tactics in mind, a solid immersion will allow refinement of those tactics to ensure targeted delivery. A proactive and value added approach within the parameters of the project are the drivers.

Scope: My print experience ranges from direct mail, collateral, annual reports, media kits, posters, flyers, some packaging, booklets, newsletters, out of home, and the like. This includes in-campaign as well as stand alone projects. Specialty inks, dye cuts, custom packaging, as well as special effects were used accordingly.Role: My roles span project management, art direction, design, production, strategy, presentation, even writing.

Scope: Event design is one of those mediums that truly runs the gamut of integrated design communications. Although there are standards and givens, every event has to be an organic life all on it’s own. It often involves the integration of such things as: architecture, video, signage, kiosks, furnishings, cut-outs, lighting, structural design, staff resourcing, event management.Role: Ran the gamut in event design from concept to completion as well as on-site supervision to affect on the fly additions and changes to meet the fluctuations of the events as well as post event review.
