Project Overview

Global architectural firm HOK movedfrom Oxford Street to The Qube, 90Whitfield Street off Tottenham CourtRoad and took the opportunity to reducestorage requirements and save space.

Nearly 200 personnel are now all onone floor. The interior was designed bySam Bradley of HOK with only a 16-week window to create and build theproject. HOK worked with filingconsultants, Fileworks, who completedan analysis and audit on HOK’s storagepractice and managed to reduce theirstorage requirement by 40 percent.

KI provided an integrated storagesolution which included their 700Series® lateral storage, tailored planchests for the architects’ large drawings,special coat cupboards and bookcaseunits. Spacesaver® high density mobilestorage units were used in the libraryareas, and powered high density mobilestorage units with high security touchpadcontrols were used in the financedepartment.

The overall design consists of a crisp andclean monochrome color scheme withrefreshing splashes of color usedthroughout to highlight the sharedresource and meeting spaces.
