CHALLENGE
OKC Thunder is the National Basketball Association (NBA) team based in Oklahoma City.
The team engaged 6D Mobile to create help them a new experience for the fan base,
a mobile edition of the Thunder’s quarterly magazine that features news on the team,
players and organization’s outreach projects. 6D’s challenge was to design and build
an app that would engage with fans, accelerate media advertising ROI, and immediately
reduce operational costs. PROJECT
Mobile application for iOS and Android devices. Services will include core information architecture design, content development, and user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS).

SOLUTION & EXECUTION
The Thunder Magazine app isn’t just an epub, it is a completely interactive reimaging of
the quarterly magazine that Oklahoma City Thunder releases. The app reinforces the
Thunder brand in a fun and informative way. Interactivity brings the user experience
to life with photo slide shows, player profiles, sound effects and a variety of games.
Navigation is consistent throughout, allowing fans to find exactly the content they want.
6D also scripted a new way to randomize sponsoring advertisements in the app, to
present advertisements in a non-obtrusive way.
