PoE switch for outdoor Surveillance Systemin Pattaya, Thailand

Located at Pa�aya Thailand, one of the most famous tourist city in Southeast Asia, each year are over 8 Million tourist visi�ng the city, which make city security of safety even more cri�cal than before. Pa�aya government are increasing the security level, with expanding the surveil-lance System, Centralize Management, 24/7 opera�on, and implemen�ng more than 1400 cameras, at the beach side and public area surveillance, determining to become the safety city than ever.To provide the total solu�on, installing Volktek Industrial grade PoE switch INS-8648P, with high PoE budget up to 30w power per port, IP30 aluminum fan less design, able to enduring the high humidity with temperature up to 75℃. Along the beach side street, each lamp cabinet are using INS-8648P connec�ng to two cameras and the AP device, providing the power and management control to the cameras and the AP device, allowing to enhance the security purpose and also with free WiFi service to the city.

The system integrator chose Volktek’s INS-8648P equipped with 8 port 10/100/1000Base-T and 4 Gigabit SFP slots that are PoE plus compliant. , all PoE ports are used to power on the outdoor 2 PoE cameras and 1PoE Wi-Fi AP, PoE Extender was used to deploy PoE cameras in longer distance (more than 100m). The video stream is stored by NVR and delivers to the sector switch in Adminis-tra�on Building (Control Room) for live surveillance.
