History

The police department has been in

Cashton since the early 1900’s. The

police department started because

they wanted to help people.

Police help people stay safe. They

answer phone calls. They respond to

accidents. They patrol the village of

Cashton. They assist with fire calls. They

can call the ambulance or fire

department if needed.

tickets. They have to know maps and

addresses. They also keep track of

speed limits.

The police officer will read new laws.

They read complaints from people.

They will have to read addresses. They

write tickets and reports for incidents

and calls.

What If You Worked Here?

You would drive a patrol car. You

would keep people safe. You might

chase bad people. You would give

out tickets to people who are speed-

ing. You would keep track of phone

calls and patrol the village.

The Cashton Elementary First Graders

visited many places in order to learn

about the goods and services our com-

munity provides to the people who live

here. A huge thanks to all of the busi-

nesses we contacted who graciously al-

lowed us to visit and learn. If you have
