The Casonas Asturianas

Arcane landscape, telluric mountain ranges, rivers that flow through deep vales; all these make the Principality of Asturias a unique land. Small fishing ports with the unmistakeable flavour of the Atlantic, forests where ancient myths and Astur legends still linger on, the marks of a historic, artistic past that watches time go by with impas-sive beauty. This is Asturias. A place that combines the most modern of comforts with a rich folk heritage. A rural past that embraces the most characteristic essences of a people, patent –among many other facets– in the paradigmatic architectural heri-tage of its rural houses and casonas.

Distinguished, stately buildings, together with beautiful, old, modest houses are pre-cisely the accommodation that makes up the Casonas Asturianas Quality Club. This Quality Mark, created in 1994 by the Principado de Asturias Administration, differen-tiates a unique sector of the Asturian offer in hotels, whose quality, location, facilities and excellent service make Asturias a leader in tourism in the north of Spain.

Within the consistent quality of the offer of services and facilities, a principal advan-tage of the Casonas Asturianas Club lies in the characteristic variety of styles of tradi-tional and rural architecture in Asturias. A variety in accord with the scenery offered by the Principality. The casonas, like the Asturian landscape, respond to one and the same “spirit”. They are easily identified by their beauty, which corresponds to a variety that reaches up high into the peaks of the Picos de Europa and offers us accommo-dation in country houses that once belonged to the nobility or well-to-do farmers; or brings us down close to beaches of the finest, white sands near elegant, modernist mansions in the east of the region. The central area of Asturias contributes to the wealth of accommodation both in terms of quantity and quality, adding tones of old fishing villages and an artistic, historic and industrial heritage that is a yardstick of the Asturian character; there, near the most important towns and amid the oases of peace and quiet of central Asturias. Asturness, that which lies deep and mysterious in this land, reaches towards the bio-reserves in the west through valleys, forests and rivers, where the memory of a hundred myths and a thousand legends still pulsates, taking form near some of the Casonas Asturianas that constitute an important part of a unique land-scape and unique customs.

L a arcana orografía, las telúricas cordilleras, los ríos engasta-dos en profundos valles, hacen del Principado de Asturias

un país único. Pequeños puertos pesqueros de inconfundible sabor atlántico, bosques donde todavía habitan el antiguo mito y la leyenda astur, la huella de un pasado histórico y artís-tico que ve el transcurrir del tiempo con impertérrita belleza. Esto es Asturias, un lugar que aúna la modernidad más confor-table y vanguardista con una rica etnografía y un pasado rural que recogen las esencias más características de un pueblo y que están patentes, entre otras muchas facetas, en el paradig-mático acervo arquitectónico de las casas y casonas rurales.

Distinguidos edificios señoriales, algunos, y antiguas, hermo-sas y sencillas casas rurales, otras, son precisamente los aloja-mientos que forman el Club de Calidad Casonas Asturianas, Marca de Calidad creada en 1994 por el Principado de Asturias, diferenciando así un segmento singular de la oferta hotelera asturiana, en el que la calidad, la ubicación, el equipamiento y el excelente servicio apoya el liderazgo turístico de Asturiasen el norte de España.

Casonas Asturianas está en la variedad tan característica de la tipología arquitectónica popular y rural asturiana. Variedad acorde con la oferta paisajística del Principado. Las casonas, como el paisaje asturiano, responden a un mismo espíritu fácilmente identificable por su belleza, que se corresponde con una variedad que sube hasta lugares cercanos a las altas cumbres de los Picos de Europa y nos acoge en las antiguas casas de hidalgos rurales, o de ricos labriegos; o que nos acerca a playas de finísima y blanca arena próximas a los ele-gantes palacetes modernistas del oriente asturiano. La zona central asturiana contribuye a la riqueza del número y la cali-dad de los alojamientos, matizándolos con antiguos puertos pesqueros y con un patrimonio artístico, histórico e industrial que da la medida del carácter asturiano, allí, cerca de las villas más importantes y en medio de los oasis de tranquilidad del centro de Asturias. Lo astur, lo profundo y misterioso de esta tierra se prolonga hacia las reservas biológicas del occidente a través de valles, bosques y ríos, donde aún late la memoria de cien mitos y mil leyendas que toman forma cerca de unas Casonas Asturianas que forman parte sustancial de un paisaje y de unas costumbres únicas.

Casona del S. XVII impregnada de actividades musicales y rodeadas de un esplendido bosque centenario. Destaca su salón con piano de cola, donde disfrutar de veladas de música en vivo, y de sus 9 habitaciones; una habitación tipo suite y dos amplias buhardillas con viguería vista de castaño.

Casona asturiana del Siglo XVIII, típica del occidente de Asturias, adaptada en 1986. Situada en Taramundi cuenta con 18 habitaciones dobles, salón, sala de lectura y de juegos, terraza, jardín, gimnasio y sauna.

Casa de campo tradicional, con huerta, árboles autóctonos y frutales. Cuenta con 6 habitaciones con baño completo y televisión opcional. El salón de piedra con su chimenea está ubicado en un antiguo cobertizo rehabilitado.

A 17th century mansion alive with musical activities and surrounded by a wonderful cen-tenary woodland. Its extraordinary living room features a grand piano, the perfect venue for live music evenings. It has 9 outstanding bedrooms, one suite, and two spacious dormer rooms, with visible chestnut rafter beams.

An 18th century Asturian country house, typical of western Asturias, and restored in 1986. Located in Taramundi. 18 double rooms, a drawing room, reading and games room, terrace, garden, gym and sauna.

A traditional country house, with kitchen garden, indigenous trees and fruit trees. 6 rooms with full bathroom and television (optional). The stone living room with a fireplace is located in an old restored barn.

An old Indiano mansion built in 1877, surrounded by a well-kept garden and located in the Cudillero municipality. 19 rooms, carefully decorated and full of small details, some of which have a private sitting room and terrace.

This exquisitely decorated and welcoming hotel is located in the coastal area of Reborio, along with villages of great tourist interest. 18 rooms, all exterior, with a very special and different charm. One of the rooms is adapted for the disabled.

El Club de Calidad “Casonas Asturianas” pone a su disposición un portal donde podrá informarse, conocer la oferta de alojamientos, y efecturar su reserva de forma totalmente segura.

En los formularios de esta Web sólo se le solicitarán los datos mínimos necesarios para poder establecer contacto y llevar a cabo la contratación de los servicios solicitados. Para efectuar una reserva, también es necesario realizar el pago de una cantidad especificada por el hotel concreto de su elección mediante tarjeta de crédito.

El hotel no le requerirá ningún dato de su tarjeta de crédito.

Este pago se efectúa de forma segura en el TPV de pagos de la entidad bancaria CajAstur.

Los datos de su tarjeta de crédito son así comunicados de forma segura y confidencial a la entidad bancaria, sin intervención ni conocimiento de estos datos por el hotel escogido.

De la misma forma, la entidad bancaria no conoce en ningún momento sus datos personales (nombre, teléfono y email) ya que se enviarán directamente y sólo al hotel en que efectúe su reserva.
