Director's Message “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.” - Phillip Pullman There are stories all around us. Every day, you tell them, and they are told to you. Some stories happen to you, some you witness, and others you create. The best ones live in your mind, take hold of your soul, and you never forget them. The stories you share with those around you, build and come alive. For the past 7 weeks, sixty high school students from around the Upper Valley have come together to create this story. The magic of their tale comes from their voices as they soar up the aisles, from their bodies as they dance to the drums, and from their passion and dedication to NCCT. I have had the distinct pleasure and honor to be witness to this magic, and it has forever changed me. I can only hope that as you sit in this theatre you are as transfixed and as moved as I have been these past few weeks. Afterall, you are Why We Tell the Story.
