CASTING CAMP 2016 • LOS ANGELES!A non-profit acting program for talent & their parents July 21st-24th, 2016 Casting Directors are often the gatekeepers to whether or not talent makes it to the next level of auditions for commercials, TV, or film. Understanding the process of auditioning is only part of it. Being able to understand and learn that no two casting directors are alike, and then keeping track of these differences, is what the business of "Show Business" is all about. At Casting Camp, talent will have the amazing opportunity to work with top casting directors in all facets of the business. These casting directors work with talent of all ages, and each have their own style and idea of what they are looking for. In addition, talent will work with top LA acting coaches, who have been hand picked to be part of the program. Throughout the program, talent will explore the full understanding of the audition process for commercials, TV, and film. Talent will earn eight (8) credentials for their resume during our program, as well participate in several other workshops. Our Parents Pass allows parents to sit in on each workshop to observe and learn. On the final day, after days of prep in working with our elite group of casting directors and acting coaches, talent will perform in a talent showcase for families and friends as well as industry VIP’s including: talent agents, managers, casting directors and other executives. My staff and I hope you will accept this special invitation and look forward to seeing you in Hollywood. Greg James Blount Executive Director T: 561-412-4034 www.DiscoverYourStarPower.org

CASTING CAMP 2016 OVERVIEW Training is an important part of the Casting Camp process. The Casting Camp program limits the talent to a total of 36 talent, which are divided into two (2) smaller work groups. Talent will get the amazing opportunity to work with a variety of top casting directors, set coaches and other industry professionals in an small forum. Talent will be assigned a camp counselor to oversee their development throughout the camp program. During the program, each talent will take part in a series of credential based workshops (auditioning techniques, cold reading/scene study techniques, evoking emotion techniques) with a variety of industry professionals and allow the talent the ability to gain valuable experience through small group instruction. We will also assist talent/parents with resume formatting techniques making sure they are well prepared for the talent showcase. In addition, we can shoot their professional headshot (additional fee), if needed. Both the properly formatted resume and a professional headshot are a requirement for all successful talent. On the final day of Casting Camp, the talent will perform in a talent showcase. We invite talent agents, managers, casting directors and other executives to our showcase, plus families and friends are welcome to attend. At our previous showcases, agencies and managers include some of the top agencies for the youth to young adult market including Abrams Artist, AEF Talent, CESD, Clear Talent, Prestige Talent, Savage Talent and Trilogy Talent. Casting Camp begins on Thursday, July 21st with daily workshops and events from 9AM to 6PM. Our welcome reception will be at the end of Day One. The talent showcase will be held on Sunday, July 24th. For out-of-staters, we highly recommend that talent come in at least one day before the camp begins (July 20th). During the camp, we will be producing a Parent Only seminar to help parents understand better the expectations of being a show business parent. References are available to families wishing to verify the quality and benefit of our Casting Camp program. NOTE: We do offer an early reservation discount of $300, if you reserve on or before February 29th, 2016.
