COMPASS Bits

With more than 200 million screwdriver bits, COMPASS are one of the worlds largest manufacturers of screw driving products.

To ensure quality and the necessary specification, manufacturing large amounts ofscrewdriving products, requires a quality management system, plus a very wellorganized production process.

All COMPASS bits are manufactured on modern CNC cutting machines. Theseensure that the tolerances are within specified guidelines of all screw drivingsystems.

The entire process is monitored with statistical process control (SPC). This guarantees an excellent product quality.

COMPASS are licences the most important fastener partners such asACR®,Torqset® and Triwing® of Phillips Screw Company; TORX® of Acument GlobalTechnologies and SIT® of Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG.

Due to those licenses we are always up to date and we guarantee the conformitywith those specifications. All other products are manufactured with DIN- and ISOstandard specifications even our torque values excel the required values.

All our bits are made of S2 modified special steel, which allows us to achieve hardness values of 62 HRc in oil bath hardening.

For special and very small application we are also able to Vacuum hardening.

COMPASS Corporation in Taiwan is DIN ISO 9000 certified.

Our European distribution warehouse in Remscheid, Germany, keeps stock for 1000 different products, which we can ship quickly, if necessary also over night into the most European countries. This saves you money and is a guarantee forquick delivery.

CNC manufacturing

The abbreviation CNC stands for Computer Numerical

Control, and refers specifically to a computer "controller"

that reads G-code instructions and drives the machine

tool, a powered mechanical device typically used to

fabricate metal components by the selective removal of

metal. CNC does numerically directed interpolation of a

cutting tool in the work envelope of a machine.

ACR® Rips at Phillips and Pozidriv Bits increase the friction

between the screw and the bit. This results in less Cam-out.

Injection Moulding

Injection Moulding is a manufacturing technique for

making parts from thermoplastic material. Molten

plastic is injected at high pressure into a mold, which is

the inverse of the product's shape.

Considerable thought is put into the design of moulded

parts and their moulds, to ensure that the parts will not be

trapped in the mould, that the moulds can be completely

filled before the molten resin solidifies, to compensate for

material shrinkage, and to minimize imperfections in the

parts, which can occur due to peculiarities of the process.

To ensure the quality, COMPASS has its own mould

making division.

The COMPASS Screwdriver is a newly developped Pentagon design in multi component moulding. Its ergonomical geometry allows to smoothly and quicklyrotate the handle as well as achieving high torque to loosen seized screws. To prevent from rolling it has, of course, a pentagon shoulder. Your screwdriveralways stays in place.

Blades from S2 modified Bit steel

All blades are made of S2 modified Bit steel for highest durability. Special hardeningand tempering result in the long life time of the product. To prevent Hydrogen brittleness the tip of the blade is manganese phosphated. The matt chrome finish of the rest of the blade protects the tool from rust in a wetworking condition.The hardness of the blades vary between 57 HRc (Slotted, PH and PZ) and 60 HRc(TORX®, Hexagon). You can choose between screwdrivers with round blade orhexagon blade with hexagon bolster to use with spanners.

L Keys made of S2 modified Bit steel

Our hex and L keys are made of S2 modified Bit steel for high durability and longlife span. It is the right product for daily industrial work.To prevent from rust we offer our hex keys in matt chrome and manganese phospated finish.The hardness of the keys is around 60 HRc.All hexagon keys are champhered and carefully angelled. The ball type is CNCmanufactured and offers a very good turning ability when working in an angle up to30 degrees.The newly designed hex key caddy is made of two pieces to select your requiredtool.Additionally to hex we also offer Spline-, Ribe-, TORX®- and TORX® temper resistant L keys.
