Easy InstallationMany ALTUSEN products provide a modular approach to network infrastructure management. Console modules are required to connect consoles (monitor, keyboard, and mouse) to KVM switches, and KVM adapter cables connect the KVM switches to servers. To help manage and arrange the cabling and installation, most KVM adapter cables are equipped with an adjustable buckle and mounting bracket. The adjustable buckle keeps everything neat and tidy, while the mounting bracket allows them to be fixed on the rack.

Detachable Front PanelMany ALTUSEN products have a unique, detachable front panel, enabling the product to perfectly fit in any rack depth. The front panel separates from the chassis for front-rack mounting, while the chassis can be mounted at the rear of the rack. ALTUSEN High-Density KVM Switches offer 8 and 16 computer port configurations in a 1U-high housing for convenient rack mounting. They allow administrators to control multiple computers from up to two KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) consoles. All switches are capable of expansion to provide control of up to hundreds of computers for a flexible and economical solution to server room administration.

Convenient features that help administrators easily manage their server rooms include three selection methods (manual, OSD, and hotkey) to obtain instant access to any computer on the installation and a powerful Auto Scan function that permits scan interval setting and automatic scanning and monitoring of the activities of all computers running on the installation on a one-at-a-time basis.

No matter what the target server’s operating status is; whether booting up the operating system, logged in, logging in, or in pre-boot BIOS mode, all activity is recorded including the video display, key strokes* and mouse clicks. The CCVSR is easy to implement and can be used to track company compliance. It also provides an effective means of fast troubleshooting and problem resolution for IT managers. The software allows managers to go back and easily trace changes made on any computer. The CCVSR increases the productivity of auditing and troubleshooting.

No Agent Software on Target ComputersUnlike other software, the CCVSR does not rely on agent software installed on target computers. The CCVSR is installed as a server to record computers connected to KVM Over the NET switches. The CCVSR bypasses the system interference and problems caused by client software; eliminating installation effort and removing all client software issues. With no agent software the CCVSR eliminates the conflict of CPU resources, disk space, memory, and network bandwidth demand on all target computers. Manages and Plays Recordings Securely All recordings are securely saved in an ATEN proprietary file format, and played by the CCVSR’s own video player. There is no need to install an additional media player. The player provides integrated tools for playback, including accelerated speed, pause, export, scaling, and other advanced functions via control panel. In addition, all recordings for distribution can be password protected to enhance security.

Indexed Database of Video Recordings All videos are recorded and saved automatically to a database, which are indexed for easy search and playback. Keyword searches plus date/time filtering functions simplify searching for playback.

Scalable CCVSR System The CCVSR supports single server and multiple server setups. Our simple and flexible license policy allows you to license only the nodes you want to manage (target servers), allowing smaller installations affordable computer management. Our license policy accommodates a growing systems environment, to easily expand the CCVSR installation as you do. The CCVSR servers to manage video recordings and allows all administrative activity to be controlled from a central CCVSR server, through a single IP port. Easy storage management The CCVSR manages disk space automatically. All disk space can be recognized by the Operation System of CCVSR server, and assigned as a part of the CCVSR storage space for recordings. The disk can be a local hard drive, network disk, or NAS. When an assigned disk space reaches its limit, the CCVSR will send out a notification to the administrator and clean storage space according to the time period of recordings you want to keep.

ALTUSEN Power Over the NET ™ products offer outlet level control combined with remote access to give IT administrators the ability to power control devices attached to the unit from practically any location via a TCP/IP connection. With support for power status measurement, Power Over the NET ™ devices enable administrators to monitor the current, voltage and power consumption of their IT equipment, either at the PDU or outlet level, minimizing the power cost of running their equipment; and ensuring high levels of system availability for server rooms of all sizes.

A measuring feature, coupled with a threshold alarm, keeps you informed of the operating status of all your attached equipment. Warning messages regarding triggered alarms can be sent via an SMTP server or SMS via the unit's Digital Output port. Power Over the NET ™ devices also provide sensor ports for temperature and humidity monitoring and threshold alarm message notification. IT administrators are able to easily and conveniently monitor and power control connected devices – remotely if necessary – by means of a browser-based UI, thereby minimizing maintenance costs and ensuring 24/7 reliability for their server room operations.

ALTUSEN Power Over the NET ™ products can be daisy-chained to manage even more devices, so your server room management can expand in step with your company's growth. In a daisy-chained installation, administrators can remotely monitor and control the power status of a server that has a dual power supply from a single portal, by connecting its power cords to the outlets of separate level units (so they can receive power from separate sources). For ease of management, when Power Over the NET ™ devices are deployed in conjunction with other ALTUSEN products, administrators can access them all from the same user interface. When a Power Over the NET ™ device is integrated in a CC (Control Center Over the NET ™) management software installation, the power outlet of an IT device can be associated with its KVM port and displayed on the same CC web page. This allows IT administrators to completely control an IT device from a single user interface.

• Intelligent Power Management ALTUSEN's Power Over the NET™ products are designed with up to 20 outlets for easy server room management. By daisy chaining additional units, up to 320 outlets can be managed from a single interface. They provide secure, centralized, intelligent, power management (power on, off, restart) of your data center equipment. The power status of each outlet can be set individually, allowing users to establish on/off schedules for each device. On/Off scheduling allows administrators to configure start, shutdown, and restart times on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, while On/Off sequencing enables users to set the power on sequence and delay time for each port to allow equipment to be turned on in the proper order.

• Remote MonitoringPON units utilize a browser based GUI to access, configure, and manage all connected IT equipment via the Internet. Remote administrators can monitor current, voltage, active power, and power consumption status of the devices on the installation from just about anywhere in the world, and take appropriate management action. By plugging temperature and humidity sensors into ports provided for them on the units, even the rack environment can be monitored remotely.

• Remote Outlet ManagementSimply by clicking a button on the browser-based GUI, administrators can power control any of the connected devices with ease. There is no longer any need for administrators to be tied to the server room, or to move from device to device turning equipment on and off. Remote outlet management ensures that server room operations go reliably and smoothly.

• Remote Environment MonitoringPower Over the NET™ devices support external environment sensors that allow administrators to remotely monitor the temperature and humidity environment around the rack. IT administrators can set maximum, minimum, and fluctuation threshold limits. If the temperature or humidity goes out of range, an alarm is triggered to alert the administrator, who can take appropriate action before a system failure occurs – ensuring the highest degree of availability for all mission-critical equipment.

• Early Warning – Timely InterventionIntegrating Power Over the NET™ PDUs into your IT installation protects you against equipment damage due to operational hazards such as circuit overload, voltage surges, and abnormal environmental conditions. Administrators can set threshold levels for current, voltage, power consumption, humidity, and temperature for each port. Should conditions occur where the threshold levels fall outside of their specified ranges, audio alarms and blinking lights are triggered at the local site. At the same time, designated administrators receive specific alarm notifications via SMTP email, SNMP trap, or SMS sender. Necessary steps can be taken in a timely manner to avoid equipment damage and reduce mean time to recovery.

Environment Monitoring Flexible Expansion

• Centralized ManagementPower Over the NET™ devices can be integrated into a CC2000 (Control Center Over the NET™) managed installation, providing administrators with single portal, single sign-on, secure, centralized control over PON device, as well as their other Over the NET™ products, all from a single interface. There is also a Port Association function that lets administrators associate a KVM port with the power outlet and serial port of a connected IT device. The three ports can then be displayed together on the same web page for the utmost in convenient access and management efficiency.

• ALTUSEN Product IntegrationALTUSEN Power Over the NET™ PDUs can be integrated into an installation containing multiple ALTUSEN Over the NET™ devices. The Power Association function found on supported ALTUSEN KVM switches enables PON power outlets to be associated with KVM ports. Once an association has been made, the power status of the device attached to the KVM port can be controlled from the KVM switch's interface – saving administrators the time and bother of having to open a separate web session to the PON device.

• Redundant Reliability – Failsafe OperationALTUSEN Power Over the NET™ units support redundant power management via daisy chaining and outlet groups, to ensure your installation stays up and running. Outlet groups enable power configuration and control actions to be carried out on a selected group of outlets at the same time, rather than repeatedly performing the same action on each individual one. For equipment with dual power supplies, power supply redundancy is achieved by connecting one of the power supplies to one PON, then connecting the other power supply to a separate (daisy chained) PON, and finally connecting the two PONs to two separate power lines. In this way, should the primary power supply fail, the redundant power supply automatically takes over to deliver failsafe operation. For increased management efficiency, both outlets can be monitored and controlled from the same web page.

• Flexible ExpansionNo matter what size your business is, there is an ALTUSEN Power Over the NET™ configuration to match it. You can start out purchasing only the number of Power Over the NET™ units you currently require to manage your installation, and add more units as your installation grows. To power manage larger numbers of IT devices, additional Power Over the NET™ PDUs can be daisy chained on an "as needed" basis. Flexible expansion configurations allow you to add up to 15 Power Over the NET™ PDUs containing up to 320 outlets step-by-step.

• Overcurrent ProtectionBuilt-in overcurrent protection ensures against equipment and site damage due to an electrical problem with the Power Over the NET™ unit. For supported PONs, as a safety measure, if there is an overcurrent situation regarding the device’s power, its circuit breakers will trip, saving a potentially disastrous situation. To recover normal operation, simply press the unit's circuit breaker button.

Serial Over the NET ™ products are control units that provide both In-Band and Out-of-Band remote serial access to up to 48 servers or other serial IT devices (hubs, routers, power management devices, etc.), via a Telnet or SSH TCP/ IP connection. Serial Over the NET ™ also provides one port Serial Device Server that supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 data transfers, as well as providing ethernet connectivity for a wide variety of serial devices used in commercial applications. The GN0116 Guardian Over the NET ™ is designed to offer remote environment monitoring and management of your server room or critical systems. With its remote control and logical configuration features, powerful management capability and scalability, it enables you to build a safe and reliable environment for your server room or data center. An IT administrator is able to monitor the status of the equipments or environment real-time, identify and troubleshoot system problems at an early stage, thereby minimizing repair costs and guaranteeing 24/7 reliable server room/data center monitoring.

With reference to monitoring the status of temperature, humidity, voltage or current for a server room, the GN0116 is equipped with Digital/Analog Input ports which allow you to connect various sensors to monitor and regulate the health of your equipment. In addition, the new and free GN0116 Guardian Monitor Center (GMC) software is designed to offer an easy-to-use and convenient User Interface for remote management of your GN0116 units – whether they are daisy-chained or not. Offering a single portal to manage multiple GN0116 units, all regulated data can be displayed in Table View or Chart View for easy monitoring.

In a critical environment, where security is a major concern, such as a server room or data center, keeping systems operating safely and stably in addition to avoiding environment irregularity is a must. The GN0116 Guardian Over the NET™ is an ideal solution for your server room environment monitoring.

ALTUSEN provides various sensor boxes to work in tandem with the GN0116. EA2110/EA2210/EA2310 enables you to get status feedback on AC current, AC voltage and humidity. The sensor boxes can simply be connected to the Voltage Analog Input port of the GN0116 via Cat 5e cable, and then configured and monitored over the internet with a web browser.

• Remote Environment MonitoringVia an Internet connection, IT administrators can conveniently observe the environment of their server rooms and data centers from virtually anywhere. Monitor temperature and humidity, in addition to the voltage and current status of critical equipment. Furthermore, users can set environment thresholds (When the humidity reaches a certain level for example) to allow equipment to be monitored for irregularity.

• Remote Power ManagementThere is no need to move back and forth anymore to power on/off servers located in a server room. By simply clicking a button on the browser-based UI, administrators can reset devices, power devices/severs on/off, manually or automatically turn on/off lights, or enable/disable the backup power source. Real-time power control ensures the system/environment operates smoothly, avoids system interruption due to irregularities, and prolongs the lifetime of the systems or devices.

• Automatic ControlAdministrators can set a logical relationship between an Analog/Digital Input port and Digital Output ports/ Power Outlets, such as to turn on the fan plugged into the power outlet of the GN0116 when the temperature (regulated by a sensor connected to an input port) reaches a certain level, or perhaps set off an alarm should smoke be detected. In a multiple GN0116 installation, the administrator can even configure relationships between the ports connected to different GN0116 units. Ultimately, maintenance costs are drastically reduced since constant administrator supervision is no longer required.

• Early Warning NotificationThe GN0116 supports connection to various alarm devices and/or an SMS sender for early warning. With logical configuration, messages can be sent to administrators when irregularities occur. Also, an email warning can be sent via SMTP server, when a threshold has been exceeded. Necessary actions can be taken to avoid damage or minimize the loss which is caused by irregularities.

• Easy Operation – Browser-Based UIIn addition to ssConsole for serial connection, the GN0116 supports an embedded browser-based UI, and the Guardian Monitor Center software which allows all the ports connecting the GN0116 units to be integrated into a Table view or Chart view for monitoring and control.
