EXOa short name for a long storyun nome breve per una lunga storiaA 25 years old story...It all started back in 1988 with Tomaso and Alberto, when the passion for paddling took them to build (somewhat out of necessity) fiber-glass kayaks. For personal use at first and then for the local kayak club.In short time a real structured production started. Meanwhile designs and materials were changing, it was the dawn of the polyethylene kayaks.The choice of developing new models in polyethylene leaded to the creation of a real factory for other brand’s kayaks mass production. Developing and designing new kayaks shaped and polished the very first form of the actual EXO and the core skills for top class products developement.7 years ago officially started the EXO project, a new brand, aimed to take new kayaks on the market, with an Italian design, developed and crafted with the best technologies available.The use of dedicated software for design, for hulls’ dynamics simulations and, as a consequence, for project optimization is a distinguish feature of all our products.This way we radically reduced our need for prototyping and, at the same time, we reduced our TimeToMarket. EXO is now able to set a complete project cycle within six months from draft to complete product.

Una storia lunga 25 anni...Tutto è iniziato con Tomaso e Alberto nel 1988, quando dalla passione per l’acqua e la pagaia nacque il desiderio (o la necessità) di costruire i primi kayak in fibra, prima per uso personale e poi ad uso del locale kayak club.In breve si avviò una produzione vera propria, ma nel frattempo cambiavano disegni e materiali e si sviluppava sempre più il mercato dei kayak in polietilene.La scelta di sviluppare i nuovi modelli in materiale plastico ha portato allo sviluppo di una azienda vera e propria dedicata alla produzione per conto di altri brand. Senza mai abbandonare lo sviluppo e il disegno di nuovi modelli quello che ancora non era EXO prendeva forma e perfezionava ulteriormente le competenze fondamentali per la produzi-one di imbarcazioni con caratteristiche di eccellenza.7 anni fa nasce ufficialmente il progetto EXO, un nuovo brand pronto a portare sul mercato nuovi kayak dal design italiano realizzati con le più moderne tecnologie di progettazione e produzione. Il disegno attraverso software dedicati, la simulazione delle dinamiche degli scafi e la conseguente ottimizzazione dei progetti è il tratto distintivo dei nostri prodotti. Con una riduzione radicale delle necessità di prototipazione e una conseguente riduzione del TimeToMarket EXO è in grado di chiudere nuovi progetti nell’arco di sei mesi, dalla bozza alla prodotto finito.

Slalom, Extreme Freeride, Endurance or Freestyle... name a paddling discipline and they’re there. The olympic gold medalist DANIELE MOLMENTI together with all the other guys from PRO.RACE team systematically test all our products in top performance environment, giving a continu-ous feedback to our developers.

IN.HOUSEOur racing team is backed up by a second kayakers team, that works side by side with the production in order to finalize the kayaks’ developement. Working along with the designer TOMASO DENTONE, the IN.HOUSE kayakers give first use feedback for all our boats. This team is made from kayakers paddling on different waters and classes, and with wide experience. They work in order to improve the user experience and fun for the everyday paddler.

PRO.RACEQuesta parte del team è composta da atleti che partecipano alle principali manifestazioni agonistiche a livello mondiale. Dallo Slalom al Freeride estremo, dalle gare di Fondo al Freestyle. Il campione olimpico DANIELE MOLMENTI e tutti i ragazzi del team PRO.RACE testano sistematicamente i nostri prodotti nelle condizioni di massima prestazione possibile e forniscono un feedback continuo agli sviluppatori.

IN.HOUSEIl team agonistico è affiancato da un altro gruppo di canoisti che lavora a stretto contatto con l’azienda per finalizzare lo sviluppo. Lavorando fianco a fianco con il designer TOMASO DENTONE, i canoisti del team IN.HOUSE, forniscono le prime impressioni d’uso di tutti i nuovi prodotti. Il team IN.HOUSE è composto da canoisti di diverso livello e curriculum, per bilanciare il feedback ed avere opinioni (il più possibile) vicine a quelle del cliente finale.

Somewhere between Portofino and Cinque Terre...La nostra azienda è collocata in un posto unico, sulla costa ligure, a poca distanza da luoghi spettaco-lari di fama mondiale come Porto-fino e Cinque Terre. La struttura produttiva si trova in un contesto storico di archeologia industriale, con edifici risalenti alla prima metà del '900.La nostra sede, recentemente ristrutturata, si compone dell'area produttiva e di uno showroom/ne-gozio di oltre 500mq con piscina interna, dove potrete provare tutti i nostri prodotti e trovare il meglio dei prodotti da canoa.

Siamo qui tutto l'anno e siamo ben felici di ricevere visite!Quindi non esitate a contattarci o a passare direttamente in sede, sia che vogliate visitare il nostro showroom o per programmare un test con i nostri kayak o, ancora, per organizzare una visita ai meravigliosi posti che ci circonda-no.Noi saremo qui ad aspettarvi!

Our company is located in a unique place on the Ligurian coast, not far away from world famous spectacular places like Portofino and Cinque Terre. The manufacturing facility is located in an historical context of indus-trial architecture, with buildings dating back to the first half of the '900.Our headquarters, recently renovated, consist of the produc-tion area and a showroom/store of 500 square meters with an indoor swimming pool, where you can try all of our products and find the best paddling products and accessories.
