Established in 1998 as a distribution company specialised in the DIY market, a change in the top management in 2006 gave new impetus to the company’s development. As a result, it moved to new premises and began manufacturing sheets of artificial glass, purchasing an extrusion plant in 2010. During these years, the company joined the EPDA (an association of the main manufacturers and distributors of semi-finished plastics in Europe) and obtai-ned ISO 9001:2008 certification, evidence of the company’s professional approach and the quality of its work.Thanks to its energy saving, clean air and production waste recycling policies, Polimark is able to effectively optimise production costs and offer more competitive product prices.

Polimark produces and distributes about 250 products in more than 900 stores all over Europe belonging to some of the most important Italian and international DIY chains.This mix of trade and industry makes Polimark the perfect partner for specialised distribu-tors because the average lead time for orders is just 48 hours, meaning they can benefit from manufacturer’s prices without having to increase the level of stock held in their wa-rehouse.Polimark offers customers excellent levels of performance, in terms of both service and the profitability of allocated spaces and is now a leading company in the production and distribution of plastic materials in the European DIY market.

Polimark’s original product, artificial glass made from polystyrene, was first sold in DIY stores in nor-th-western European countries in the early 1970s.

This product, combined with Polimark’s experience in the DIY industry, helped to establish the firm as a specialist in plastic materials for the DIY market. The product was an immediate success with con-sumers thanks to the perfect transparency of the sheets and properties such as versatility, pliability and inexpensiveness.

Easy to cut using a common cutting tool. To obtain sheets of the desired size simply etch the sheet as required and give it a sharp cut. Curved cuts can be made using a jigsaw, proceeding slowly to prevent the sheet from splintering.

Use common drill bits for wood or steel to obtain holes of the desired size. To prevent splitting do not drill holes close to the edges.

Polystyrene artificial glass combines the transparency of glass with greater strength makingit safer to use in a wide range of applications.

Poliver sheets can be cleaned using a soft cloth and neutral detergents. Do not use alcohol-based detergents that could make the sheet opaque.

Poliver sheets can be bent quickly and easily using a common hot air gun.

BENDING

BILAMINATE POLYPROPYLENE SHEETAlveopan

®

Very strong and resistant, it is surprisingly light and can be used in countless applications requiring a strong material that is easy to work with. Its surface has a sanded effect ensuring excellent colour adhe-sion and maximum yield when an acrylic primer is ap-plied first. The surface forms a base that is easy to de-corate with paint, markers or stickers. The ALVEOPAN sheet can be hot-formed and cut using a variety of to-ols: cutters, fine-toothed saws, jigsaws, circular saws or milling machines. Polypropylene adhesives can be used, usually hot melt (no vinyl adhesives). Commer-cially available polyurethane and double-sided adhe-sives also work well.ALVEOPAN is water, damp and weather resistant, ma-king it suitable for use in a variety of conditions.
