RAD 120 is an innovative diagnostic system with continuous and fullrandom access mode for the total automation of fluoroimmunoassays. Reading is performed in fluorescence at 450 nm.
Rad 120 is able to automatically aliquote, assay, predilute and dilutecascade tests (Reflex tests). Urgent tests may be effected within theroutine performance without using dedicated positions. The solid phase is constituted by ferrite magnetic particles coatedwith zirconium. These particles, thanks to their chemical and physical characteristics, have a high binding capacity towards biologically active molecules. This grants a rapid and effective separation of free/bound fractionsand application to different test methods (direct, indirect, capture). An interactive and multitasking software helps the user in all workingphases.
RAD120 allows the full automation of the following clinical areas:

In the ELISA test preparation process, Drop is the indispensable instru-ment for the automated washing of either 48 or 96 wells microplate. It isprovided with two different manifolds, either with 8 or 12 needles, anhorizontal or vertical microplate washing can be chosen. The instrumentis totally flexible and easily programmable by the operator, by directly in-serting data through the keyboard, displayed on the LCD. It is possible to configure: number of washings per cycle, buffer solutionvolume, time and method of washing (per strip or per plate) andsoaking time. A mixing option is also selectable, with different mixingspeed. The instrument is directly connected to the silicone treated glassbottles containing solution and buffer and with the waste tank. Duringthe washing operation the microplate is automatically transferred insidethe instrument, protecting the operator against the possible high biolo-gical risk manipulation.

AUTOMATED TEST TUBE SAMPLE LABELLING SYSTEM
PREANALYTICAL SYSTEM
cod. 011140000SprintLab is an automated test tube sample labelling system. The system prepares labels and test tubes for patients at the collection point, reception andat ward according to the information received from the LIS.The system has been designed to manage the blood collection process in order to eliminatehuman error from the pre-analytical phase with greater efficiency for the entire analysisprocess. Due to the exclusive “EDGE SENSOR” system, which allows a label to be correctlypositioned over the original label, SprintLab guarantees the correct positioning of the labelonto the sample tube This will leave a part of the tube clear in order that it may be inspectedvisually for the presence of clots or heamolysis etc. This will also leave the level referencemark clear on the original label.SprintLab is handled by an Internal PC with 6.4’’ LCD touch-screen colour display. It isequipped with 2 printers:- with dispensers to label test tubes and with cutters- to print additional labels for sample containers not directly handled by the systems The barcode reader can be used to collect patient information in order to produce the required labelled test tubes andadditional labels. The lower module of the system is composed of 3 extractable trays, each one containing 3 racks for tubes of differentsizes, for a total of 9 racks. The racks can hold 50 tubes (13 mm) or 40 tubes (16 mm). Tubes, placed in the appropriateracks, are automatically picked up, labelled and gathered in the collection area for each patient. The number of tubesavailable is automatically updated. The complete set of labelled test tubes and additional labels are gathered into thefinal collection area.SprintLab can be used directly in the ward with a configuration that includes larger wheels and special handles forimproved maneuverability within the ward. The system is light with reduced dimensions in order that it can be usedeasily, either in the corridor, a patient’s bedside or emergency wards (Emergency, Trauma, reanimation etc).
OPTIONAL SprintLab Monitor software NEW is dedicated to the monitoring of installed SprintLabs by dedicated systemsstaff. The Sprinlab Monitor allows realtime management and reporting of the SprintLab functions and status including tube and label availability.
SprintLab light NEW is the desktop system, therefore with no sample tube management, designed soley for the printingof labels for use on secondary containers for biological samples or samples collected away from the collection point.
