The first meeting is a retreat on Sunday, Sept 30 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm; subsequent classes meet Saturdays, Oct 20, Nov 17, Dec 15, Jan 26, Feb 16, Mar 16, Apr 27 and May 18 at 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM This series of classes is for anyone desiring to deepen their understanding and apprecia-tion of Dominican history and spirituality. This is a year-long, prayerful study of Dominican saints and historical and contemporary spirituality in the Dominican tradition. Cost: $200.00 (scholarships available). CENTERING PRAYER - ITS ORIGINS IN THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING

Three options: Oct 19 and 20 (086-021); Oct 19 only (086-030); or Oct 20 only (086-031)Father William Menninger, a long time student of the 14th century Cloud of Unknowing, was one of the three monks who developed Centering Prayer in the United States. He is uniquely qualified to share the origins of Centering Prayer in the Cloud of Unknowing in our weekend retreat. Come away for a while and pray. Cost: Fri $25.00/Sat $55.00/both $75.00. LISTENING FOR GOD’S VOICE: A SPIRITUALITY WORKSHOP FOR MEN (086-040)

Tuesday, Oct 16, 23 and 30; 7:00-9:00 PM This is a retreat experience for men who are will-ing to remove their ear buds long enough to hear God’s voice in the ordinary circumstances of life. A participant will begin by examining and articulating one’s own spirituality, that is, the way one experiences God and one’s response to that experience. The reflections, discus-sions and spiritual exercises will draw on the prayer experience of the participants and on Scripture, as well as on monastic and Ignatian spirituality. Tuesdays, Oct 23, 30, Nov 6; 7 – 9 PM . Moses lived a vibrant and adven-turous life filled with a mixture of joys, sorrows, successes, failures, great love and great loss. Through it all, he was sustained by his intimate friend-ship with God. During these three sessions, Albert Lewis and Mary Vacca-ro will share their insights about the friendship between Moses and God and invite participants to share in the dialogue. Cost: $45.00.
