Cathedrals & Missions Tour with the USA Council of Serra International January 19: Visit Mission Santa Barbara Following the Serra National Rally today, our pilgrimage begins as our tour director and motorcoach driver meet and greet us at the Ventura Beach Marriott. Our journey begins at the Mission Santa Barbara, the “Queen of the Missions”. We will have a rare glimpse into the Mission Archive-Library, hosted by the Franciscans of the Old Mission Santa Barbara. Following our tour, we’ll enjoy dinner and check-in to our hotel. Overnight Pasadena, CA (Dinner served today) January 20: Visit Mission San Fernando Rey de España – Lunch with Carmelite Sisters – Visit Mission San Gabriel – Visit Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels Breakfast will be served at our hotel this morning. We’ll make our way into the Valley today to tour the Mission San Fernando Rey de España. Following our visit, we’ll say hello to the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles in Alhambra. We’ll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch with them. After lunch, our tour will lead us to the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel right next door, a fully functioning Roman Catholic mission and the fourth founded Mission by Father Serra. We’ll finish the day at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, serving over 5 million Catholics in the Archdiocese with Sunday Masses celebrated in 42 different languages! Dinner will be served before returning to our hotel this evening. Driving south on the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway, we’ll arrive in San Diego for our final tour at the Mission San Diego de Alcalá, an active Catholic church in the Diocese of San Diego and the first Mission founded by Saint Junípero Serra. This afternoon, we’ll explore the ,200 beautiful acres of San Diego’s picturesque Balboa Park at our leisure. Lush grounds, from gardens to forests, fountains and sweeping architecture from Spanish Colonial Revival to mid-century Modern span the heart of the Park, along with over 7 award- winning museums. We’ll enjoy a special farewell dinner this evening, followed by check-in at our hotel. Terms of ServiceItineraries Itineraries are prepared and scheduled in advance according to the best information available at the time and are subject to change by the date of the pilgrimagePricing Canterbury Pilgrimages amp Tours Inc reserves the right to adjust pricing should the following occur (1) Rise in Airfare due to higher fuel costs etc (2) Rise in ground costs due to increases in hotel charges bus fares fees taxes and other costs due to the fluctuating value of the US dollar against foreign currency Deposits and final Payments A deposit of $450 per person is required to hold your reservation of which $200 is non-refundable (may be refundable under travel insurance conditions) Final payment is due 75 days prior to the departure date Payment can be made by credit card or check Credit card payments are subject to a 3 processing fee Call (800) 653-0017 to make a credit card paymentCancellation fees If cancellation in writing is received by Canterbury Pilgrimages amp Tours Inc more than 75 days prior to departure all payments made toward the price of the tour will be refunded less a $200 processing fee For cancellations received less than 75 days prior to departure the initial deposit of $450 plus any applicable charges imposed by the airlines hotels and bus companies on Canterbury Pilgrimages amp Tours will be non-refundable Please note that the amount may vary with each pilgrimage and the vendors we work with Canterbury Pilgrimages amp Tours Inc retains the right to cancel any pilgrimage up to the departure date in which case all funds received will be returned with-in 10 business daysBaggage Please follow the general rule of traveling light -
