e NSSPX’s Pending Deal with Rome is a Disaster for Souls

Don’t expect to win when negotiating with Rome. ey only negotiate when they sense weakness. If youever wondered how the NSSPX would fare in negotiations with Masonic Rome, wonder no more. It’shard to see how it could be worse.

I’m able to make that charge aer reviewing the statement from the Oce of the Congregation for theDoctrine of the Faith, 27 March 2017, listed below, and Bishop Fellay’s April 2017 interview.

First, the statement from the CDF:

As you are aware, for some time various meetings and other initiatives have beenongoing in order to bring the Society of St. Pius X into full communion. Recently, the Holy Father decided, e.g., to grant all priests of said Society the faculty tovalidly administer the Sacrament of Penance to the faithful (Letter Misericordia et

misera, n. 12), such as to ensure the validity and liceity of the Sacrament and allayany concerns on the part of the faithful.

Following the same pastoral outlook which seeks to reassure the conscience of thefaithful, despite the objective persistence of the canonical irregularity in which forthe time being the Society of St. Pius X nds itself, the Holy Father, following theproposal by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and the PonticalCommission Ecclesia Dei, has decided to authorize Local Ordinaries the possibilityto grant faculties for the celebration of marriages of faithful who follow thepastoral activity of the Society, according to the following provisions.

Insofar as possible, the Local Ordinary is to grant the delegation to assist at themarriage to a priest of the Diocese (or in any event, to a fully regular priest), suchthat the priest may receive the consent of the parties during the marriage rite, followed, in keeping with the liturgy of the Vetus ordo, by the celebration of Mass, which may be celebrated by a priest of the Society.1

We must understand the following Points, to see Rome’s eort to control and establish a false need forthis intervention:

Traditional Catholic groups do not need Pope Francis’s indult, to administer anysacrament. ey have had the necessary faculties since the 1960-70s through anemergency, supplied jurisdiction.

e followers of the SSPX and Archbishop Lefebvre never doubted that theSociety always had valid and licit sacraments, in the eyes of God.

ere is no “objective persistence of the canonical irregularity in which for thetime being the Society of St. Pius X nds itself,” as stated in the Vatican pressrelease. Rome is trying to establish a need for its intervention in order tomanipulate the Society. ere is no true need to “reassure the conscience of thefaithful.”

Try to understand what is really taking place when “the local Ordinary is togrant the delegation to assist at the marriage (of traditional Catholics) to a priestof the Diocese.” Once this is established, what more will they demand to takepart in? e sermon? Distributing Communion?

Keep in mind this is a Novus Ordo “priest” of a falseconciliar faith condemned by Archbishop Lefebvre.

e NSSPX parish is praying with an anti-Catholicconciliar faith.

e NSSPX parish is lending credence to the falseconciliar faith.

e NSSPX and its local chapel are causing greatscandal.

God, please help us!

To lessen the pushback from priests and laymen on the above marriage indult—which is a big steptowards giving Rome control over the Society—Bishop Fellay, in eect, interviewed himself. In April, the Society’s U.S. Communications Director asked him so uestions the bishop no-doubt supplied. (Doyou think Bishop Fellay would let the Catholic Candle interview him? No, I don’t think so either.)

e interview supposedly justied the negotiations for recognition, and the need for conciliarinterference with NSSPX weddings. In the interview, Bishop Fellay pretends that he is still negotiating, such as if this or that bishop gives us a problem we will use “Plan B”. In this way Bishop Fellay tries toconvince his followers that the NSSPX is not backed into a corner and that the deal with Romeincludes satisfactory workarounds. at is wishful thinking, because Rome is in control. Rome can senseweakness in the Society because the NSSPX’s goal is obvious: obtaining Rome’s acceptance at any price.

Rome turned down a deal with the NSSPX in 2012 because too many priests and laymen would havele the Society. Rome didn’t want to contend with a strong new resistance. at situation has nowchanged.

In the interview, Bishop Fellay states that Rome believes marriages by the SSPX are invalid, and if thecouple wanted to end their marriage, they would have an “easy door,” meaning they’d have an easy way

e NSSPX is conrming that such a service is the “newnormal” and that the conciliar faith is good andacceptable.

A great loss of faith is inevitable.

It’s hard to believe any traditional Catholic parents wouldagree to have a daughter or son begin wedded life bybeing married by a “priest” from an anti-Catholicconciliar religion.

It looks obvious that Rome need not grant any temporaryconcessions to the NSSPX, as the liberal Society willaccept any agreement to ensure a deal will be made.

By the enemy breaking “the SSPX fortress,” the battlebegun by Archbishop Lefebvre for Tradition is over, otherthan in scattered pockets of resistance outside the SSPX.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 3 of 26

out. He used this baseless fear to justify the need for the marriage indult. (If a couple would have such amindset, they could easily get an annulment on the usual imsy conciliar grounds, which is even uickerand more inexpensive now that Pope Francis has made it so.)

Bishop Fellay stated he has been negotiating with Rome for ten years to become recognized. Rome isdictating the terms and the best the bishop can do is try to put the best face on it. Rome’s score forcontrolling former traditional communities aer making a “deal” is: Rome 6 and Tradition 0. BishopFellay knows this, so he can only “interview” himself and try his best with ambiguous language to satisfyhis supporters. Over ten years, his followers have been accepting more-and-more liberalism, so it is clearthey will accept almost anything. Big mistake!

Bishop Fellay says that aer a Novus Ordo “priest” marries the couple, the NSSPX priest will say theMass. He is implying how generous Rome is. What a weak, meaningless point to make aer allowing anenemy’s representative (the Novus Ordo “priest”) into (what should be) their holy sanctuary “fortress.”at battle is lost, only his followers don’t know it yet. But Bishop Fellay knows it because he has agreedto it during the negotiations.

ere are other examples of destructive compromises in the interview, in terms of souls and in terms ofthe future of the SSPX. Because the NSSPX has given up Catholic Tradition in order to be recognized, they are racing toward disaster.

Why are hardly any NSSPX priests and laymen concerned about what is happening, when so manysouls are at stake? As our Lord asked: “When the Son of man cometh, shall he nd, think you, faith onearth?”2

We must pray hard for the blind leaders of the liberal NSSPX, who used to lead for tradition, but nowfollow Rome for liberalism.

Bishop Williamson Scos at St. John Chrysostom’s FrighteningWarning about Going to Hell

e Great Doctor of the Church, St. John Chrysostom, gave frightening warnings how hard it is for abishop to save his soul. Here is one of his warnings:

I do not think there are many among Bishops that will be saved; there are manymore that perish.

St. John Chrysostom, Sermon III on e Acts of the Apostles.

St. John Chrysostom gives these grave warnings to move us—especially bishops—to a sober fear of hell.Hell is no joking matter! Here are his words:

What can be more grievous than hell? Yet nothing is more protable than the fearof it; for the fear of hell will bring us the crown of the Kingdom.

St. John Chrysostom, Sermon XV, On Satues.

At a banuet following Bishop Zendejas’s consecration, Bishop Williamson made the following joke, scong at St. John Chrysostom’s warning:

So the rst thing I said this morning, aer the ceremony, the rst thing I said [sic]to Bishop Zendejas, was, St. John Chrysostom says: “Hell is paved with the skulls ofbishops. ”1

e joke met with general laughter in the banuet room. Id. Listen for yourself. He and Bishops Zendejasand Faure all cracked big smiles. Id. See for yourself.

St. John Chrysostom’s warning is no laughing matter! He gravely warns us —especially bishops—so wewould be moved to a sober fear!

Sacred Scripture shows us repeatedly that it is the wicked who laugh at sober warnings of judgment andhell! For example, in a messianic psalm about the wicked men who persecute Our Lord, the psalmist(speaking in the Person of Our Lord) laments:

ey that sat in the gate spoke against me: and they that drank wine made me theirsong.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 5 of 26

Psalm 68:13.

e prophet Jeremias, who was persecuted for calling Israel to repentance (and who symbolizes OurLord being persecuted by the ungodly), laments how the wicked scoed at his warnings:

I am made a derision to all my people, their song all the day long.

Lamenations of Jeremias, 3:14.

Let us pray for those poor, blind Fake Resisance bishops!

We also pray for their followers, and we ask them:

Do you consider St. John Chrysostom’s frightening and sober warning as apunchline? If not, then don’t associate with those who do!

Bishop Williamson Promotes Vatican II’s Heresy at People Can beSaved Outside the Catholic Church

Bishop Williamson promotes a large and increasing number of liberal errors.1

How much better he and his followers would be if he read and taught the doctrine of the Doctors of theCatholic Church, during the time he instead wastes reading false and heretical visions condemned bythe Catholic Church before Vatican II, through the Holy Oce of the great Cardinal Ottaviani!2

How much better Bishop Williamson and his followers would be if he did not waste his time surngconciliar websites and gullibly believing and promoting false conciliar miracles.3

Bishop Williamson has now again added to the number of heresies he teaches. We uote him below, butrst we summarize the true teaching of the Catholic Church.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 6 of 26

e Catholic Faith Infallibly Teaches that only Catholics go to heaven, because there is no salvation outside

the Catholic Church.

e Council of Florence and Pope Eugene IV infallibly declare:

e most Holy Roman Church rmly believes, professes and preaches that none ofthose existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews andheretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go intothe ‘eternal re which was prepared for the devil and his angels’ (Matthew 25:41),unless before death they are joined with Her”.

Session 11.

Pope Boniface VIII infallibly declares:

With Faith urging us, we are forced to believe and to hold the one, holy, CatholicChurch and that, apostolic, and we rmly believe and simply confess this (Church)outside which there is neither salvation, nor remission of sin”.

Unam Sancam, 1302, Denz. 468.

Pope Pius IX declares:

ere is only one true, holy, Catholic Church, which is the Apostolic RomanChurch. ere is only one See founded in Peter by the word of the Lord, outside ofwhich we cannot nd either true faith or eternal salvation. He who does not havethe Church for a mother cannot have God for a father, and whoever abandons theSee of Peter on which the Church is established trusts falsely that he is in theChurch.

Singulari uidem, §4.

Pope Pius XI declares:

e Catholic Church alone is keeping the true worship. is is the font of truth, this is the house of faith, this is the temple of God; if any man enters not here, or ifany man goes forth from it, he is a stranger to the hope of life and salvation.

Moralium Animos, §11.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 7 of 26

Saint Cyprian of Carthage, a Father of the Church declares in writing against heretics of his time whodenied the “faith and truth of the Catholic Church”, wrote that “there is no salvation out of the Church”.3rd Century, Letter LXXII, to Jubaianus, Concerning the Baptism of Heretics, ¶¶ 20 & 21.

Pope Sylvester II infallibly declares:

I believe that in Baptism all sins are forgiven, that one which was committedoriginally as much as those which are voluntarily committed, and I profess thatoutside the Catholic Church no one is saved.

Pope Sylvester II’s Profession of Faith, 991 AD.

Pope Innocent III infallibly declares:

By the heart, we believe and by the mouth we confess the one Church, not ofheretics but the Holy Roman, Catholic and Apostolic Church, outside which webelieve that no one is saved.

Fitts exemplo, 1208, Denz. 423.

St. omas Auinas, Greatest Doctor of the Church, declares:

[T]here is but one Church in which men nd salvation, just as outside the Ark ofNoah it was not possible for anyone to be saved.

Commenary on the Apostles’ Creed, at the article “e Holy Catholic Church”.

Saint Augustine, Doctor of the Church declares:

He who is separated from the body of the Catholic Church, however laudable hisconduct may otherwise seem, will never enjoy eternal life, and the anger of Godremains on him by reason of the crime of which he is guilty in living separated fromChrist.

St. Augustine’s Epistle 141.

Pope St. Gregory the Great, Doctor of the Church declares:

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 8 of 26

e Holy Catholic Church teaches that... all those who are separated from Her willnot be saved.”

De Moralis, bk.14, §5.

Bishop Williamson Contradicts Catholic Dogma and Declares that Non-Catholics Can goto Heaven

Bishop Williamson Contradicts Catholic dogma by teaching that it is more likely for a Catholic to get toheaven than a non-Catholic. Here are his words:

[It is better] to be a Catholic rather than a non-Catholic because a Catholic has amuch greater chance to get to heaven.4

To say that a Catholic has a greater chance of getting to heaven than a non-Catholic, falsely indicates thatnon-Catholics have some chance of getting to heaven. is is like saying that a living person has a greaterchance of running a marathon than a corpse does. Such a statement falsely indicates it is even possible fora corpse to run a marathon.

us, because Bishop Williamson indicates that non-Catholics have some chance to get to heaven, hedenies the dogma that outside the Catholic Church “no one is saved.” Fitts exemplo, 1208, Denz. 423(emphasis added). us, Bishop Williamson teaches heresy.

We should not be surprised that Bishop Williamson promotes this heresy. Many times, he has approvedattending the “worship” of non-Catholics. He promotes attending:

Bishop Williamson even publicly declared that there is “true worship of God” among the Anglicanheretics.8

It is striking how Bishop Williamson phrases his heresy in almost identical language to what theCatholic Church condemns. For example:

the evil, conciliar, new mass, which is the liturgy of the false conciliar religion (ifa person feels it helps him)5 ;

the sedevacantists’ masses;6 and➢

the feeneyites’ masses7 .➢

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 9 of 26

With Bishop Williamson promoting “worship” with non-Catholics, how could anyone be surprised thathe says non-Catholics can get to heaven?

In this heresy, Bishop Williamson follows Vatican II. Here, for example is one way that Vatican IIphrases the heresy Bishop Williamson has now embraced:

e brethren divided from us [ viz., heretics and schismatics] also use manyliturgical actions of the Christian religion. ese most certainly can truly engendera life of grace in ways that vary according to the condition of each Church orCommunity. ese liturgical actions must be regarded as capable of giving access tothe community of salvation.

It follows that the separated Churches and Communities as such, though we believethem to be decient in some respects, have been by no means deprived ofsignicance and importance in the mystery of salvation. For the Spirit of Christ hasnot refrained from using them as means of salvation....

Uniatis Redintegratio, §3 (emphasis added; bracketed words added for clarity).

Let us pray for Bishop Williamson and all other blind souls who are diabolically disoriented by VaticanII and the Great Apostasy in which we live!

Faithful Catholics Have a Missionary Spirit; Bishop WilliamsonTries to Destroy this Spirit.

Faithful Catholics always seek to save souls. Because there is No Salvation Outside the Catholic Church, 1

the faithful Catholic always seeks to convert souls to the Catholic Faith.

For this reason, the faithful Catholic heart is the generous, self-sacricing heart of a missionary. Noeort is too great to bring even a single soul to the true Catholic Faith! As St. Paul told the Corinthians:“I most gladly will spend myself and be spent for your souls”. 2 Corin. 12:15.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 11 of 26

roughout history, faithful Catholics have tried to convert their neighbors and people across the world. To mention only a few famous examples:

Our Lord commands Catholics to generously seek souls to convert:

Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.7

Pope St. Gregory the Great and St. omas Auinas explain that, in Our Lord’s command, the phrase“every creature” means “every man”.8

erefore, Our Lord commands the Gospel must be preached to every man, regardless of his condition, location

and circumsances.

e Four Main Excuses the Devil Suests to us, to not seek Converts

Satan insidiously whispers four excuses to our fallen human nature to prevent us from zealously doingeverything we can to convert souls:

My eorts would aect so few souls that the possible gain is not worth the eort,so I should not try.

It is too hard or dangerous to try to convert souls, so I should not try.

e people I could try to convert are intellectually ill-prepared for my eorts toconvert them to the Catholic Faith, so I should not try.

e people I could try to convert are badly-disposed toward accepting the CatholicFaith, so I should not try to convert them.

St. omas the Apostle went to India.2➢

St. Francis Xavier went to India and Japan.3➢

St. Patrick went to Ireland.4➢

St. Boniface went to Germany.5➢

St. Remigius went to France.6➢

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 12 of 26

Below, we discuss these satanic suestions.

Satan’s excuse #1: My eorts would aect so few souls that the possible gain is not worth the eort, so Ishould not try to convert them.

e devil tells us that, in our own circumstances, the souls we could convert are too few to warrant theeorts reuired.

is is false! One soul is worth more than all of material creation! St. omas Auinas explains thistruth as follows:

[T]he rational creature is more excellent than all transient and corporealcreatures....9

Our Lord teaches the same thing by asking:

For what doth it prot a man, if he gain the whole world, and suer the loss of hisown soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?10

Faithful Catholics are generous, not stingy! ey know that no eort is too great to try to convert souls. Here is how one missionary to far northwest Canada described what he found:

e missionary in Mackenzie will travel almost fabulous distances on snow-shoes,or in a dog-sled in order to baptize a few children, to confess and communicate halfa dozen Catholics and to usher an Indian soul out of this world in peace.... eremay be, therefore, on an average one living soul to something like 200 suare milesin those regions.... e disciple is not above his Master, and he is content with smallresults until, aer much planting and watering, God gives at length plentifulincrease.11

Plainly, we must never tire of trying to convert even one person or help save even one soul!

Satan’s excuse #2: It is too hard or dangerous to try to convert souls, so I should not try.

If a person rmly (and correctly) holds that converting even a single soul is worth every eort, the devilis ready to suest a “back up” excuse: “It is too dangerous.”

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 13 of 26

Oen when men use this excuse, they really mean they would suer embarrassment and that worldlymen and non-Catholics would not accept them. How unworthy are those concerns! In this excuse, suchmen “weigh” worldly advantage and human respect as greater than the eternal salvation of souls!

But even if the word “dangerous” (in this excuse) really meant death, who cares? St. Paul showed (andtaught) us that we must gladly spend ourselves for souls. 2 Corin. 12:15. Danger should not hold us backfrom seeking converts and helping save souls! Read what St. Paul gladly suered for souls:

Of the Jews, ve times did I receive forty stripes, save one. rice was I beaten withrods, once I was stoned, thrice I suered shipwreck, a night and a day I was in thedepth of the sea. In journeying oen, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, inperils from my own nation, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perilsin the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils from false brethren. In labor andpainfulness, in much watching, in hunger and thirst, in fasting oen, in cold andnakedness.... At Damascus, the governor of the nation under Aretas the king, guarded the city of the Damascenes, to apprehend me. And through a window in abasket was I let down by the wall, and so escaped his hands.12

Satan’s excuse #3: e people I could try to convert are intellectually ill-prepared for the CatholicFaith, so I should not try to convert them.

If the rst two excuses don’t stop our eorts to convert souls, the devil is ready to suest yet another“back up” excuse. He tells us that in our own circumstances, the souls we could try to convert are toointellectually ill-prepared and so it will do no good to try to convert them.

But faithful Catholics make every eort to save souls, even the souls of persons with the most badly-formed, ill-prepared minds imaginable! Since faithful Catholics have a missionary spirit, they overcomeobstacles! ey don’t use them as excuses!

One obstacle is a language barrier, which makes a person intellectually unprepared to be converted. eDéné Indian of far northern Canada did not know any language with which they could communicatewith missionaries. is presented many problems. For example, as one missionary wrote, there was:

the diculty of distinguishing [language] roots from accidental additions. eDéné language consists in great measure of words of one syllable, like Chinese. Allthe root words are monosyllables. I have already collected 745 of them. Some wordsthat are written exactly alike are made to vary in meaning by the tone of voice, etc.e correct pronunciations of the words are extremely dicult for the European. Itis remarkable that labials are little used. A Déné, without parting his teeth, and

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 14 of 26

only slightly opening his lips, will pour out a torrent of words impossible tomistake.13

Another, even greater obstacle to conversion, is the ill-prepared mind which thinks only about thingsthat can be sensed. As one missionary wrote:

e Déné does not reect upon his thoughts or impressions. He runs on. Hiswriting, like his talk, is continuity.... e language of the Déné is a picture of theirmind. For sensible objects, they have innumerable words; for general ideas, hardlyany.... [H]is intellect seems asleep under the ashes of ignorance accumulating forgenerations. e name of a virtue or the simplest explanation of a religious truthseems oen something outside the range of his understanding.14

However, these missionaries had a Catholic spirit! ey thirsted for souls, as faithful Catholics do! eygave no thought to giving up! Here is what they did:

ey set themselves rst of all to study the language, and to master the idioms, andto force the words somehow or other to bring home to the pagan mind the meaningof virtue, religious mysteries, the Commandments of God, the multitude of Histender mercies, the coming of the Son of God, the Son of Mary, and the making ofthe Catholic Church.15

Again, faithful Catholics don’t give up on ill-prepared souls! ey overcome obstacles in order to spreadthe true Catholic Faith!

Satan’s excuse #4: e people I could try to convert are badly-disposed toward the Catholic Faith, so Ishould not try to convert them.

If the rst three excuses don’t stop eorts to convert souls, the devil is ready with a last “back up”excuse. He tells us that in our own circumstances, the souls we could try to convert are too ill-disposedto accept the Catholic Faith and so it will do no good to try to convert them.

But faithful Catholics make every eort to save souls, even the most ill-disposed souls (toward theCatholic Faith) that can be imagined. For example, the Déné (who later become excellent Catholics)were cannibals, who killed and ate their own children.16

Just like the father of the Prodigal Son, the truly Catholic heart always has its “eye” on the horizon, looking for every opportunity, and willing to make every eort, to help even the worst men convert tothe true Catholic Faith.17

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 15 of 26

e Irouois are infamous as being uniuely hostile to the Catholic Faith. But the Catholic heart ismissionary! e faithful Catholic thirsts for souls and always hopes that “things will be dierent” withmore eort, and that those souls will convert.

e Catholic heart hopes that, if non-Catholics (such as the Irouois) are approached yet again, and ifanother attempt is made to convert him, it will succeed. No eorts are too great or too many!

e longstanding and extreme Irouois hostility toward the Catholic Faith did not cause themissionaries to give up on them! Read a letter written in Montreal in 1656, by a Jesuit missionary enroute to the Irouois villages to found the rst mission:

We are on the eve of our departure to go and collect what remains of the Blood ofthe Son of God among those peoples, where we have had the happiness of sheddingour own [viz., the missionaries’ blood] and of carrying the light of the Faith tothem, although their [viz., the Irouois’] sole design hitherto has been to extinguishit [viz., the light of the Catholic Faith]; that is, we go to establish ourselves amongthe Irouois. I think that, in mentioning those Barbarians, I say all that can be said;for their name alone shows the risk which we run and the glory which will accrueto God from the execution of that design.

We are not ignorant of the fact that these Savages have eaten us with relish andhave drunk with pleasure the blood of the Fathers of our Society; that their handsand their lips are still wet with it, and that the res in which they roasted their[viz., missionary priests’] limbs are not yet uite extinguished. We have notforgotten the conagrations that they have kindled to consume our houses, and thecruelty that they have practiced on our bodies, which still bear its marks. We knowthat their whole policy consists in knowing well how to plot treachery, and toconceal all their plans for it; that no Nero or Diocletian ever declared himself sostrongly against the Christians as these bloodthirsty Savages have done against us....

[A]lthough the [Irouois] have hitherto manifested nothing but cruelty, the [Jesuitmissionaries] feel only an aection for them, which makes them hold life cheap, andlavish it generously, for the salvation of those who have so oen sought to put them[ viz., the Jesuit missionaries] to death....

[W]e go to declare war against Indelity, and to ght the Devil in the very heart ofhis country.18

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 16 of 26

Conclusion

Every faithful Catholic heart is the heart of a missionary! We don’t rest while people remain in thedarkness outside the Catholic Church, whether they be our neighbors or across the world! We mustspare no eort to bring them in!

Bishop Williamson’s Group Lacks Catholic Zeal for the Faith and for Souls.

e Fake Resistance (Bishop Williamson’s group) is composed of four bishops, many priests and laymen.is group lacks zeal for souls, for ve reasons:

Whereas persons who are zealous for the Catholic Faith and for the conversion ofsouls, do everything in their power to prevent souls’ contamination by the errors ofheretics and schismatics, Bishop Williamson teaches people soul-damning errors:

Persons zealous for the Catholic Faith and conversion of souls stand up for theFaith no matter what the conseuences. ey defend the Faith publicly to avoid thescandal which would be caused by their silence.

To go to the new mass, which is the “mass” of the newconciliar religion (if it helps them);19

To go to sedevacantist and feeneyite masses, although theyare schismatics and heretics;20

Catholics will nd truth in the (heretical) Anglican“religion”, as well as nd “true worship of God” there;21

To read false and heretical visions which the CatholicChurch condemned before Vatican II, by the Holy Oce ofthe great Cardinal Ottaviani;22

To adopt the principles of the Faith-destroying heresy ofSituation Ethics ;23 and

Many other heresies.➢

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 17 of 26

Many of Bishop Williamson’s group, e.g., Bishop Auinas and the Dominicans ofAvrillé, disagree with his heresies but maintain a cowardly silence. 24 His group’ssilence is “deafening” and nearly total, as their leader corrupts the Catholic Faith insouls. Bishop Williamson’s group also ostracizes whoever opposes his heresies.

Persons zealous for the Catholic Faith and conversion of souls ceaselessly do whatthey can—by word and deed—to bring people into the true Catholic Faith, whetheror not those people’s minds are ill-prepared to receive the Catholic Faith. As uotedbelow, Bishop Williamson promotes the damnation-causing error that we shouldnot try to convert people today because their minds are ill-prepared for conversion.

Persons zealous for the Catholic Faith and conversion of souls ceaselessly do whatthey can—by word and deed—to bring people into the true Catholic Faith, regardless of whether they are ill-disposed to receive the Catholic Faith.

As uoted below, Bishop Williamson promotes the damnation-causing error thatwe should not try to convert people because they are ill-disposed to receive theCatholic Faith.

Bishop Williamson discourages others from trying to convert souls by his teachingthat, if we ght for converts and for the Catholic Faith, we are likely to abandonthe Faith ourselves.

Here are Bishop Williamson’s own poisonous words, showing how he tries to discourage attempts toconvert souls:

[M]any a clear-sighted Catholic can already be preferring to keep silent rather thanattempt to argue or to teach. A mass of modern minds are so incapable any longer ofthinking or reasoning that any attempt to dispel their errors can seem to risk onlyincreasing their confusion. ...

Our Lord tells us not to throw pearls in front of swine, in other words not to teachpeople unfit to learn, and He tells His Apostles to shake o from their feet the dustof a town that will not listen (Mt. VII, 6; Lk. IX, 5). Our Lord gave the example ofkeeping silent, in front of the Sanhedrin (Mt. XXVII, 12, 14), Herod (Lk. XXIII, 9)and Pilate (Jn. XIX, 9). Many souls today are likewise unfit to hear the truth. And whenit comes to fighting, Our Lord Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane told Peter to put uphis sword. Such was not the will of God (Mt. XXVI, 54). Peter’s problem was that hehad not done what Our Lord had told him to do, which was to “watch and pray.” As

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 18 of 26

a result, when his manly will to ght was frustrated even by his beloved Master, heabandoned him [sic] and ran away (Mk. XIV, 50). Beware, fighters for Our Lord—if

your fighting does not work, you risk running away from Him!

Today what Our Lord does ask us to do is to make reparation to the Sorrowful andImmaculate Heart of His Mother, especially by the Rosary and the Devotion of theFirst Saturdays.

Eleison Comments #513 (emphasis added).

Let us look at Bishop Williamson’s three excuses not to seek converts, which are contained in the uoteimmediately above (and which are summarized in #3-#5 right above that).

1. Bishop Williamson falsely teaches that we should not try to convert souls because most people are sointellectually ill-prepared that they could not understand the truths of the Catholic Faith. (He says: “A

mass of modern minds are so incapable any longer of thinking”.)

A faithful Catholic does not talk (or think) this way! A Catholic heart rejects this stingy and defeatistattitude! Bishop Williamson is merely making an excuse to abandon souls and fail to try to bring theminto the One Ark of Salvation, the Catholic Church!

No minds were more ill-prepared to think than the minds of the Canadian Indians of the Arctic, whodid not even have the words and concepts for abstract ideas! But faithful Catholics push forward toconvert souls regardless of their completely ill-prepared minds!

2. Bishop Williamson falsely teaches that people today have such bad will there is no use trying toconvert them. He tells us that people today are “unt to hear the truth”.

Bishop Williamson teaches that people today have such bad will there is no use trying to convert them.25

But Bishop Williamson does not know the disposition of all individual persons and he rashly assumesthey are all the same and all unconvertable. is stingy, anti-missionary assumption is so un-Catholic! Itis a pernicious, soul-damning excuse!

Bishop Williamson furthers his rash, evil teaching by praising people as “clear-sighted” because they nolonger try to convert people to the true Faith.26

Even if we cannot convert everyone, our tireless eorts might bear fruit known only to God, not us! Wemust ake as our own the words of St. Paul: “I most gladly will spend and be spent myself for your souls”.2 Corin. 12:15.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 19 of 26

At all times in history, most people are not “ready to convert”. For example, the Irouois and theCanadian cannibals were not “ready to convert”. But we must do everything in our power to help peoplebecome ready to convert.

3. Bishop Williamson Teaches that Trying to Convert People would endanger our own Faith.

Bishop Williamson says that we should be afraid to ght for converts and for the Catholic Faith today, because this ght is likely to make us abandon the Faith ourselves.27 Bishop Williamson advises usinstead, only to pray. Bishop Williamson calls prayer “what Our Lord does ask”, showing he means thatOur Lord does not ask us to try to convert people.28 Of course, the truth is that faithful Catholics dopray, but also fight and seek converts to the Catholic Faith. As uoted above, Our Lord commands theGospel be preached to every man, regardless of his condition, location and circumsances.

St. Ignatius of Loyola gives us Rules for the Discernment of Spirits (which he received from Our Lady),which show us when the devil is behind an idea proposed to us. When we apply these rules, we see thatBishop Williamson echoes Satan, when advising us not to seek converts.

St. Ignatius warns us that when we are trying to be generous and do more for Our Lord (such as byseeking converts), the devil will suest false obstacles and try to discourage us by false arguments. Hereare St. Ignatius’s words:

In the persons who are going on intensely cleansing their sins and rising from goodto better in the service of God our Lord, ... then it is the way of the evil spirit tobite, sadden and put obstacles, disuieting with false reasons, that one may not goon; and it is proper to the good spirit to give courage and strength, consolations, tears, inspirations and uiet, easing, and putting away all obstacles, that one mayproceed in good works.29

Following St. Ignatius’s warning, when we seek to serve Our Lord better, we must expect the devil towhisper words of discouragement. We hear the devil’s whisper echoing in the words of BishopWilliamson.

When we have a missionary heart, we conform ourselves to the Catholic Church. It is the devil whowhispers to us, through Bishop Williamson, “you can’t do it”; “it is too hard”; and “it won’t do any good”.We also hear the devil’s poisonous whisper through Bishop Williamson, that “if you ght to obtainconverts, you will abandon the Faith yoursel”.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 20 of 26

Even when the devil’s pernicious whisper echoes in Bishop Williamson’s words, we must respond to himthe same way: “Begone Satan!”

We see in Bishop Williamson’s Words, not only the Method of the Devil but also the End-Result whichthe Conciliar Church and the Devil seek.

Bishop Williamson teaches that we should not try to convert people to the Catholic Faith. Hispernicious advice pleases the conciliar church, since he teaches as they do, that we should stop trying tomake converts to the Catholic Faith. For example, the Vatican promoted this same evil discouragement(i.e., not to seek converts) when it declared in 2015, that “the Catholic Church neither conducts norsupports any specic institutional mission work directed towards Jews”.30

But not only the conciliar church is pleased by the result Bishop Williamson seeks. e devil also isdelighted with Bishop Williamson’s words! e devil knows that there is No Salvation Outside the Catholic

Church. 31 us, the devil is thrilled by Bishop Williamson’s teaching that Catholics should notgenerously try to bring people into the Church where their souls could be saved.

Let us pray for poor, blind Bishop Williamson!

Let us also pray for Bishop Auinas and the rest of the Fake Resistance, that they begin to sand up forChrist the King, rather than sand with Bishop Williamson!

But we must reject Bishop Williamson’s teaching, which is stingy, defeatist, and satanic! Instead, ourattitude must be the opposite of his. We must be generous, missionary, and Catholic! We must make everyeort to bring people into the one Ark of Salvation (the Catholic Church). We should strive to convertall people from their errors, even Bishop Williamson!

Bishop Zendejas Follows Bishop Williamson in Liberalism, and Also Rejects the CatholicMissionary Spirit.

Bishop Zendejas is part of the Fake Resistance and is a liberal, as Bishop Williamson is. To take just afew examples, Bishop Zendejas:

teaches that the problems with Vatican II are only ambiguity, not heresy.32➢

falsies the true virtue of obedience and indicates that Traditional Catholics aredisobedient in their stand against conciliar error. Id.

June 2017 - Catholic Candle 21 of 26

Likewise, Bishop Zendejas follows Bishop Williamson in admitting that he does not seek to convertpeople to the Traditional Catholic Faith. For example, in 2015, he publicly declared (concerning hisDanbury, CT chapel) that his “followers do not exceed 90 and [we] have no plans to grow ”.33

Let us pray for Bishop Zendejas, as well as the other liberals who are spreading their soul-damningerrors!

Catholics must judge words and deeds objectively. But we must never judge aperson’s interior, subjective culpability for sins, because that would be the sin ofrash judgment. Read the explanation found here:https://catholiccandle.neocities.org/faith/against-sedevacantism.html#section-5

A person might have the supercial opinion that it is a sin of rash judgment for usto call their silence “cowardly”. However, he would be wrong.

e word, “cowardly” means:

being, resembling, or betting a coward, e.g., a cowardlyretreat.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cowardly (emphasis added).

us, we describe well that they maintain a cowardly silence when BishopWilliamson teaches heresy and scandal, because their silence resembles and bets acoward (since they fail in their objective duty to stand up for the true CatholicFaith). But we don’t judge their internal, subjective culpability for their betrayingthe Catholic Faith by these objective mortal sins of silence.

Recently, Bishop Williamson taught this same evil message in a dierent place, viz.,

that we should not concern ourselves with converting souls. He said: “I don’t thinkwe need to be too concerned to bring souls towards us, because people just don’tunderstand today. ey don’t have the ears to hear.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hetZgRGZafA&feature=youtu.be; listen at minute 5:25.

As uoted above, Bishop Williamson’s words are that “many a clear-sighted Catholic
