The Golf Society, which has about 70 members, provides an opportunity for social golf and each year outings are arranged to seven different courses between April and October. Stableford competitions are organised at each venue for ladies and gents, but the emphasis is very much on enjoyment and most of us remain for a bar meal after our round.
