But while many, under strong temptation, yielded their faith, there were some who stood firm. Registration begins Sep- tember 15 - 1pm at the John Gray High School Auditorium. Subjects offered at basic, interme- diary and exam levels: Volunteer teachers are sought in the various areas. Students are re- quired to pay a non-refundable $100 at registra- tion to cover the costs of running the program for the year. ASI- CAYMAN 5 K RUN/WALK ASI-Cayman announces that it will be having a 5 kilometres walk and run for youth and health on Sunday, September 22 at 6:00 am. This event will begin at the Hurley’s Supermarket parking lot, at Grand Harbour. The entrance fee is $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 10 and under. Please collect registration forms at the confer- ence office or see a representative in your local church. There will be a lot of prizes and surpris- es. Begin to practice so that you can be a win- ner; this is a fundraising event. (James 4:6, 7, NKJV) QUARTERLY LEADERS COUNSEL The quarterly Leaders Counsel, organized by the Cayman Islands Conference will be held on Sunday, September 15 at 9:00 a.m. at the East End Church. We are inviting all the church board members from all our churches to be there. All our conference directors and institution leaders are also asked to be in attendance. FESTIVAL OF THE LAITY The Festival of the Laity will be on October 4 – 5. At the Lions Centre on Friday evening at 7:15. And on Sabbath, at 8:30am. where we will have a special session of prayer to begin the day’s program we will be getting reports from all our churches as well as from overseas. Many of our members, youth and adults, will be recognized for their part played in evangelism. Each church will be dressed in T-shirts displaying the church’s colour and the flag they have designed. Each church should have already placed their order at Monograms and More; don’t be left without your T-shirt. BIG BAPTISM SCHEDULLED September 28, has been designated as a Division wide baptism day. All fields throughout the Inter- American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, in- cluding Cayman, have voted to allow all ordained elders to have the privilege to baptize the persons whom they prepared for baptism, on that day. CAYMAN ACADEMY Cayman Academy will be featured on the radio talk show, Radio Cayman with Sterling Ebanks, on Wednesday 11 September 2013 at 1pm. Par- ents, Guardians and supporters of the school are asked to listen in as outstanding students will be interviewed about their outstanding performanc- es at the recent CXC/O’level examinations.
