    MAC CYCLE

Planting a healthy multiplying church happens in step-by-step process. This step-by-step process proceeds from planning to the_________________planting of the church. ThisMAC primarily deals with the life cycle of a living, growing, and multiplying church. Every

church goes through a cycle of its own. This MAC covers the HOW TO PLANT a GREATCOMMISSION reproducing church.

The purpose of this manual is to emphasize the role that V2025 plays in MAC cycle.MAC involves considering what God wants to see accomplished for His glory in any Region.

When the content of the CBAP MAC Cycle has been mastered, each participant should:

    1. To HAVE a clear vision to the CBAP vision and mission, by reaching their nation, their region, city, barangay, village, and neighborhood with the Gospel.

    2. To KNOW that it is Gods will that every man, woman, and child hear and

understand the Gospel and have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as theirpersonal Lord and Savior.

    3. To DO church planting in a simple and practical way.

The apostle Paul believed that prayer was a vital aspect of evangelism and church

planting. He prayed and encouraged the early Christians to pray for the _____________of the Gospel. We see examples throughout the New Testament Scriptures.

    a. In talking about his desire for the Jews to receive the Gospel. Paul tells the believers inRome, Brothers, my hearts desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be

    saved. (Romans 10:1).

    b. When Paul warned the Ephesians Christians of the spiritual battle they were to engage in,he told them to put on the whole armor of God and to stand against the devils schemes.

_____________ against the devils schemes involved understanding Gods truth aboutsalvation, using the Word of God as a sword, and continuous prayer. Paul urged theEphesians believers to pray in the Spirit on all occasion with all kinds of prayers andrequests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Eph. 6:18).

    c. In regard to the advance of the Gospel, Paul specifically asked believers, Pray also for me,that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make

known the mystery of the Gospel Pray that I may ________________ it fearlessly, as Ishould (Eph. 6:19-20).

    d. Paul wrote similar message to the believers in Colossae: Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message,

so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. (Col. 4:2-4).

    e. Paul also told the church in Thessalonica, pray for us that the message of the Lord mayspread rapidly, and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered

from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful and he willstrengthen and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thess. 3:1-3).

It is clear from these passages that the early Christians prayed strategically for the

spread of the Gospel and against the evil influences, which hinder the Gospel from advancing. These same prayer needs still exist today. In developing and implementing a church plantingstrategy, ________ ________ ________ . Do nothing without prayer. Your

saturation church planting ministry must be born out of prayer and then continuously be

    bathed from start to finish.

What are practical ways in which you can involve believers in raying for your church

planting ministry? Several ideas are discussed in this section. The essential points for

mobilizing prayer for church planting are:

    * Ask God to lead you to people with a __________ for your target area.* Be committed to good information dissemination between your church planting work

    and your people team.

  • 7/31/2019 Cbap Church Planting 'Mac' Cycle_1[1]

    4/24

    4

    4

    * Encourage regular, specific, concentrated prayer for the Gospel to penetrate the hearts

of people living in your target area and against evil influence which keep people in

bondage to Satan and which hinder the advance of the Gospel in your target area.

    1. _____________ GROUP PRAYER MEETING

Cell groups are a place where people can encounter Christ in his word and in the lives of

believers in the cell group. Cell groups are intended to grow and multiply and each cell group

meetings, time should __________ praying for non-Christian friends, relatives, andcolleagues of cell group members. Cell groups may also want t prayer walk in their community

(or target place) and pray for special evangelistic events. Cell group leaders can keep people

informed of special events for which to pray.

    2. PRAYER ________________

A prayer triplets consists of three individuals or three couples committed to meeting

regularly together (weekly or every two weeks) to pray for _______-__________,neighbors and relatives they would like to see become Christians. Ideally, those prayed for

should be people whom the praying individuals frequently see or speak. Prayer triplets arediscussed in more detail in PARTNER IN PRAYING.

Prayer Triplets are ideal when the church planter has a nucleus of believers in his target

area who are seeking to help him plant a church. They are an excellent way to involve

__________ believers to pray for their unsaved relatives and friends. In addition, PrayerTriplets are very effective for involving existing churches in evangelism of their own

    communities.

    3. PRAYER _______________

Prayer walking is not a new idea. In Europe, many famous walks werecreated by monks who used to walk and pray on pilgrimages from

cathedral city to cathedral city. Prayer walking enable the participants

to get out to see and be where the needs are. When we are shut up in

a room, we do not have the same understanding as when we are face

to face with real life situations and needs. Walking around a

neighborhood in prayer gives a ____________ differentperspective on the neighborhood and its needs than just taking a

pleasant stroll through the same neighborhood.

In church planting, prayer walking is a tool that can help to break up the swallow ground and

prepare the __________ of peoples hearts to receive the Gospel. Prayer walking shouldbe done by the church planting team or others with a burden for the particular area being

targeted for church planting. The prayer walkers will need to walk and pray around, through

and in the target area repeatedly. They should do this with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

Prayer walking should be followed by strategic evangelism. Evangelism must be

preceded and accompanied by prayer. If you and your church planting team are going to

distribute literature, show the Jesus film, feed the poor, or utilize any other type of

evangelism activity, as key part of that outreach should include prayer before and during the

event. Prayer walking has the effect of breaking up the swallow ground and preparing hearts

    Prayer is vitalingredient of

    churchplanting.

    Without Godsblessing anddirection, all

    our best effortswill fall.

    over.

    PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR PRAYER WALKING

    I. Determine the area to prayer walk.II. Set a specific time for the prayer walk.

III. Decide on a particular focus of prayer.

IV. Walk at a leisurely, but steady pace, taking in the

surroundings as much as possible, without obviously staring.

    V. At the end of the prayer walk, share briefly together.

    1. Receive a Vision from God

    (Acts 16:7-10; Prov. 29:18).

Receiving a vision from God is a significant

mile-post in the life of a church plant. Until you

clearly receive a vision from God, you are unable

to proceed. Once the __________ is received, thechurch planter has been given Gods marching orders.

    1. Vision derives from a word literally meaning see.

What better word than vision to describe the

capacity to be forward-looking and foresighted?

    2. Vision suggests a future orientation.

    3. A vision is an image, a picture of what could be.

    4. Vision connotes a standard of excellence, an ideal. It implies a choice of values.

    5. Vision also has the quality of uniqueness. It hints at what makes something special.

3.Vision is easily forgotten and must be sustained over time.

4.Vision empowers only when it is embraced by the people.

JUST DO IT BEFORE THE LORD.

    2. Choose Target People Group (Demographic Research)

In Matthew 28:19-20, God lays out His evangelistic strategy,Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of

the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey

everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the

    very end of the age.

In this text, the word nations is the same word we get our word ethnic from and carries

with it an understanding of people groups. It is here that God clearly calls us to take the gospel

to all people groups. This milepost involves an ____________________ of the peoplegroup among whom God directs the church to be planted. After you understand who, you can

begin to understand what it means to develop a contextual church planting approach among

    that unreached people.

Research is an important part of church planting. It reveals different kinds of people

living in a target area, what their needs, hopes, fears, and spiritual beliefs are. This givesinsight into practical ways and means of sharing the Gospel. Demographic research will also

reveal what other people God has working in your target area, churches, mission groups,

service groups and how they might cooperate in seeing the target area filled with living

churches. Lastly, research ca help determine the effectiveness of current ministries and give

insight into where new churches need to be planted.

    1.PEOPLE GROUPS

    a. A people group is a significantly large grouping of people who recognize a common

__________________ because of their shared language, religion, ethnicity, occupation, residence, class, situation, or a combination of these things.

    b. Ethnolinguistic groupings of people are distinguished primarily by their race and language.

*Goal- to further kingdom of God by making disciples who transform their communities as theymake other disciples.

    3.FOCUS GROUPS (Demographic Study)

    a. Where does the focus group live?

    b. What is the focus groups spiritual condition?

    c. What barriers stand between the focus group and the gospel?

    d. What bridges lie between the focus group and the Gospel?

    e. What are your spiritual gifts and talents?

    f. Writing your initial church planting focus group profile.

    1. What do you think your research will discover about your target area?

    2. What are the advantages of taking time to do research in your target area? How will

research make your church planting efforts more effective?

    3. What are five or six pieces of information you feel to know about your target area that will

    increase your church planting effectiveness?

    4. Do you know people who would do well at research after you train them?

    5. Are those in your harvest field ready to hear the Gospel? What are some observations you

have made that indicate to you that people are open or resistant to the Gospel?

    3. Recruit Team (Planning)

God has chosen to work through teams in the planting of His church. It is God who puts

a team together. A team is the result of calling, chemistry, competency, and character coming

together. In MAC CYCLE, there are a variety of teams that come _________________to accomplish this major milepost.

    1. Staff Team

    a. Equips the core group to provide the basic ministry of

    the church plant.

    b. Consists of a lead pastor, worship leader, and pastor of spiritual development.

THESE ANSWER THE QUESTION:, HOW WILL WE DO WHAT GOD WANTS DONE?

All churches need _________________ Leader & TEAM members who shallidentified and mobilized the church, into another significant milepost that has been achieved

through various strategies & relevant approaches in different context of church planting.

It is amazing that 2,000 years ago Jesus knew the number one need would be for workers for the

harvest field. With this in mind, He instructed us to pray for workers. Nothing will substitute for prayer

when it come to building solid ministry teams. Pray for God to lead you to people of solid character who

    1. ________________SOWING(Effective Evangelism)

God births His church through the discipling

of new believers. When the gospel penetrates an

unreached people and begins to MAC CYCLE

manifest the fruit of new believers, he new church is

ready to be established. Church planting, above

all else, is a means to evangelize unreached people and

see Gods kingdom brought into a reality. Effective evangelistic

penetration signals that another milepost has been achieved.

A.Jesus ___________ Command (Mark 1:17)Come, follow me, Jesus said, And I will make you fishers of men.

We are familiar with all the passages in the Acts of the Apostles where Luke gives a

supposed to deal with people and events during Jesus life time.

A house church is a group of people small enough to meet face-to-face, who havecovenanted with God and each other to be the church under the authority of Christ and

guidance of the Spirit. A house church often meets in homes, although it may sometimes meet

in public buildings. But more important than the place of meeting is the closeness ofrelationships implied by the word church.

It is very obvious that when the smaller the church, the closer inter-action. In small

    CBAP CHURCH PLANTING:

Church planting is a process that results in a new Christian church being established. Itshould be distinguished from church development, where a new service, new worship centre

or fresh expression is created that is integrated into an already established congregation. For achurch to be planted, it must eventually have a separate life of its own and be able to function

without its parent body/mother church/partnering church.
