Michael Perdue, ourout reach pastorwill begin a new shepherding group starting nextweek. Pastor Michael is co-founderof our church. He a lso directs Hope forLafayette andis expanding out mercy ministries daily. He has been married fort welve years and hasone child. He is currently working on his Masters of Theology from Reformed TheologicalSemina ry. If you haven’t yet, now would be the perfect time to jo in a Shepherding Group.
Jim Allen will also be starting a Shephe rding Group next Sunday. Jim has been faithfullymarried to his wife Judy forover 35 years. He is a retired pastorwit h overtwo-decades of
Ministerial service and experience. He does a large amount of our marriage and grief counseling. He also continues to be a t rusted voice of wisdom around ourchurch. If youhaven’t joined a group yet, now would be a great t ime.

Life in the Valley: The Christian’s Peculiar Perspective on
The Psalmist writ es, "Though I walk through the valley of the s
evil. For You are with me. Your rod and your staff comfort me." For
trite religious expression. B ut for those who have walked the dark r
that they are not alone. However, psalm 23 does present a problem.
the valley ? Should we not be atop the mountain peaks? Shouldn't we

Starting March 4th Pastor Brandon will be looking at the topic of suf
Jesus, James and Job, be tackling some of the toughest questions
now? H ow do I cope? W ho is to blame? We will see in the end that t
radically unique from any other perspective this world has to offer
suffering with all the realism and hope that the Bible offers. But, mo
of the one who came to us and suffered on our account.
