CCUSA is an official J1 Camp Counselor Visa Sponsor who or-ganise work placements at summer camps in America. We pride ourselves on our personalised customer service, affordable program with stacks of inclusions, local offices and representa-tives across Australia and an unmatchable reputation with our participants and our summer camps. While we are the largest camp program in Australia, you will still receive individual attention and service from professional and experienced staff who have all worked at summer camps in the USA. These things make CCUSA the most popular way to organise your camp adventure. Since 1987 CCUSA has provided Australians with 26 years of 100% placement for the program.

Over 30,000 Aussies have trusted CCUSA with their summer camp experience. Are you ready to join them?

It’s not as simple as it may seem to get organised to work overseas (especially in the USA). As a US Government appointed J1 Visa Sponsor, CCUSA offers you everything you need to make the experience a success for you.

26 years of 100% placement for accepted participants.

From just $499. We keep our program fees low and have no hidden charges, so that you can receive more and pay less. Our program is over $200 less in fees than most other US camp programs.

CCUSA is an official US designated J1 Visa Sponsor and you will only be dealing with CCUSA in Australia and in the USA, not a third party (like most other US camp organisations in Australia are)! CCUSA is your visa sponsor and issues the sponsoring US Government document that you need to get your visa. The visa is for work at camp plus up to 30 days to travel and sightsee around the USA (before and after camp). We assist you with your mandatory face-to-face interview with the US Consulate and help you put together your visa application. We can even help those of you wanting to depart Australia before May 2015.

This is included while at camp, so you get to save your hard earned cash for after camp travel!

For 19 years CCUSA has been bringing American Camp Directors to Australia to meet and hire staff. Our annual Camp Job Fairs are held in January (see Camp Counselors USA Job Fair Section for dates), and we host up to 25 summer camps. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet your potential Camp Director face to face and get hired on the spot! CCUSA offers the most camps and available jobs at our Camp Job Fairs, 2-3 times more jobs than other fairs offer!

Up to 4 months International Work & Travel insurance is included with the program at no additional cost. You receive insurance for the duration of your work visa/camp placement. Your policy can also be upgraded and extended for further travel.

Your US Government SEVIS tracking fee (US$35) is included with the program and not charged to you (this is not the case with all US camp programs!)

CCUSA participants are offered special flight prices through our preferred travel agent STA Travel. You also have the flexibility to arrange your flights through an agent of your choice at no additional cost.

From your camp’s designated USA arrival port you will receive free travel to camp.

We have fulltime staff and offices in 3 States (NSW, VIC and QLD) and dozens of Area Representatives and Interviewers (who have all worked at summer camps) throughout Australia (including WA, SA, NT, TAS & ACT). This means you’re able to speak with someone locally and on a time zone that suits you.

The highest earning potential - you can earn over US$300 more than you’ll get with most other US camp programs.

While in the USA we provide you access to a 24-hour toll free emergency assistance hotline.

CCUSA work with over 1000 camps in the USA meaning we have more jobs available giving you the best chance to be placed! CCUSA personally and carefully assess your skills, personality and the camp types you wish to work at – from there we find you the perfect camp placement. Camps love CCUSA’s quality staff! We have a long-standing relationship with many camps (some of our staff have been with CCUSA for over 20 years and all of our staff have worked at camp!)

CCUSA prepares you for camp and your travels before you leave Australia at this fun and informative meeting. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet all the other like-minded Aussies heading to camp.

Access to YHA memberships, Cash Passports, Discounted Intrepid & Trek America tours and free US Sim Card, CCUSA staff handbook, travel guide and more!

The Best Summer Of Your Life!

CCUSA look for enthusiastic people who have skills they can teach or assist teaching to American children. There are over 200 activities that might be offered at a summer camp across the following activity areas: • Arts & Crafts• Athletics/Sports• Circus• Digital Media

• Extreme Sports• Fitness• Gymnastics• Horse Riding/Farm Animals

• Outdoor Adventure• Performing Arts• Ropes/Climbing• Target Sports

• Water Sports• Certification or degree that

relates to children.

To find a full list of skills that we recruit for visit www.ccusa.com.au.

When completing your online application form make sure you tell us everything you can do with your skill including how long you have been participating in it, if you have qualifications, what experience you have, and what elements of that skill you could show, teach and lead.

We look for people, who have experience with children, but you don’t need a certification or to be a qualified instructor, you just need to feel confident in your own skill level and ability. If you want to strengthen your skills and application further, CCUSA can direct you to websites and organisations that run courses in your State. Remember, many campers are young children and have very basic skills with many activities.

We guarantee placement for all Surf Lifeguards accepted to the program by February 1st 2015. You must hold a Bronze Medallion/Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) that is valid until at least September 1st 2015.

What experience do I need to do the program?

Our Fairs are the original and biggest of their kind. Each year we host up to 25 camps in Australia in January. These Camp Directors have come to Australia for the sole purpose of meeting and hiring Aussie camp counselors. Make sure you apply well in advance so your application can be processed and you can gain access to the VIP Camp Director hiring session before the general public on the day.

Information on all the camps attending (with camp profiles and positions they are hiring for) will be posted at www.ccusa.com.au well in advance so you can check out the great camps and jobs on offer.

What is the cost of the program?

How do I apply?

Our program fee is a low AU$499 if you apply and pay by October 31st, 2014. After that the cost increases by $50.

You can then earn up to US$1,845 for 9 weeks at camp. If your camp runs longer than that you’ll earn an extra US$30 per day.

You need to factor in some other costs when considering the program including flights, visa processing and spending money.

1. Visit http://footprints.ccusa.com/ to create an account. Click on Camp Counselors USA 2015 and start your online application form.2. You will need 3 references (1 must be an official CCUSA Reference Questionnaire).3. You will need to include an introduction video about yourself. This will tell a camp who you are and why they should hire you.

This is an awesome way for a camp to find out more about you and gives you an advantage over someone who has only submitted a written application. Make sure your personality shines through and you are enthusiastic.

4. Complete the Electronic Program Agreement; this is your agreement with CCUSA (found with the online application).5. Upload a smiling profile picture. 6. You will need to pay a program fee. This fee is fully refunded if you are not accepted to the program.7. Gain the CCUSA approved Federal Police Background Check - the instructions for this are found with the online application.

Once you have completed an application we will arrange a personal interview to find out more about you, your skills and experience, and to make sure you have all your questions about the program answered. If you have any questions regarding the application process or the program at any time, please just contact us – we are here to help you and make your application as amazing as it can be!
