A YEAR OF OPPORTUNITY
THE DATA- Graduates are students who earned degrees in Dec. 2009, May 2010, and Aug. 2010.- Multi ple methods were used for data collecti on including a web-based survey, classroom visits and phone calls to recent graduates.- Data is collected from 30 days prior to graduati on unti l 90 days aft er graduati on.
As the staff anti cipated, 2010 will be remembered as one of opportunity. When the world economy began to collapse, Career Services restructured to three disti nct zones, honed our mission (we help students succeed!) and highlighted our message.

The Launch of the Zero Credit Internship Program at UNITranscript Notati on Creates Opportuniti es for UNI Students
Launched in the Fall of 2009, UNI began off ering a transcript notati on opti on for students seeking intern-ships. The program enables students to take a semester away from UNI and have all accounts remain acti ve on-campus. Additi onally, it takes away the burden of tuiti on costs for students who are not in need of credit or who may be working in a volunteer internship in healthcare, government, or a non-profi t organiza-ti on.
This exciti ng program has led to over 99 student opportuniti es in its fi rst year. This program has already made its mark, serving the needs of 25% of the students enrolling in cooperati ve educati on at UNI.
