CASE STUDIESl John Snow Inc. KAP Survey – a cohort study

involving a baseline and end-line survey of three communities’ knowledge, attitudes and practises in relation to cancer and the associated stigma.

l Save the Children UK – a baseline study guided by a qualitative and quantitative research design with the objective of assessing the vocational and life-skill training needs of Musina youth.

l UNAIDS – a literature-based review and selection of journal articles for the UNAIDS science blog.

l PGWC Department of Transport and Expanded Public Works – statistical analysis and interpretation of the National Youth Service survey data and the New Venture Creation survey data.

CASE STUDIESl Stars in their Eyes (Cool Fresh Ltd.

& Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport) – evaluation of football development programme providing opportunities for South African youth in disadvantaged communities.

l SPAR – development of CSI framework and strategy. Presented to CSI committee members and provided initial support for implementation over a two-year period.

l First National Bank – evaluation of the FNB Community Care Programme. Review of 10 organisations in 7 provinces to assess programme achievements, showcase successes and recommend improvements.

l Coronation Fund Managers – research and identification of flagship programme in Education sector for client to invest. Manage call for proposals, assess and make recommendation for selected NGO in Gauteng.

l GRM (International) Zimbabwe – conceptualising and drafting a communications and visibility campaign and strategy for the Protracted Poverty Relief Programme

CASE STUDIESl The Agency for Refugee Education, Skills

Training and Advocacy (ARESTA) – our interns were involved in initial analysis of fieldwork research, recommending cases of asylum seekers up to UNHCR and organizing and participating in cultural events to educate people on xenophobia.

l Treatment Action Campaign – our intern was directly involved in researching and evaluating a new public health programme for the organisation.

l Heart 104.9 fm – our intern produced content for the Phat Joe Morning Show, as well as research on the public’s perception of the radio station.

l Cape Town Child Welfare Services – our interns designed a play therapy program for children and worked closely with the fundraising team to develop the organisation’s first ever electronic survey.

Project management services are an integral part of our evaluation, research, CSI and communications work, ensuring that our client deliverables are of the highest possible quality and delivered on deadline and within budget. In addition, we offer project management as a stand-alone service for clients looking to seek funding, develop a new programme or produce an event.

CASE STUDIES l Artscape Resource Centre – researched and developed

funding proposal for skills development programme through the MAPPP-Seta, resulting in a significant funding award for the client’s young artists and performers skills development programme; project managed and implemented the skills development programme.

l Cape Music Industry Commission (Cape MIC) – project managed the strategic planning, CEO recruiting and implementation of the website, launch and brand for Cape MIC.
