CCEM- HOPE in PRAYER 2020 “ ‘For I will RESTORE you to HEALTH and I will HEAL you of your WOUNDS,’ declares the LORD”
-Jeremiah 30:17
Prayer Focus Area 1: End to the Global Pandemic
When the angel stretched out his hand toward
Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented
from the calamity and said to the angel who
destroyed the people, “It is enough! Now relax
your hand!”- 2 Samuel 24:16
Not to imply that this pandemic is a judgment
of God, we still would like to pray for God to
say “It is enough!” and end the COVID-19 pan-
demic.
Particularly pray for:
Those who are sick to be returned to
health
Those who are vulnerable, to be safe and
healthy
Those who are worried, that they may
find peace and rest
Healthcare workers and essential services,
that they may stay safe and healthy
Prayer Focus Area 2: Hope in the midst of economic recession
And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. – Luke 12:29-32
There is no doubt that 2020 has induced finan-cial strain on many within our country and our company. Let us bring these worries to God.
Particularly pray for:
Those who have lost their jobs, that they may be taken care of and find employment
Those who are anxious about the future, that they may find peace, rest, and see God in this time
ExxonMobil Leadership to have wisdom dur-ing this challenging time for our company
A revival in our economy
Prayer Focus Area 3: Healing of the wounds of Racial and Social Injustice.
Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.— Proverbs 31:8-9
Pain and hurt from racism and social injustice is being felt throughout our communities. Let us be a community of love and light, a voice for the afflicted.
Particularly pray for:
Healing from the pain of racism and social injustice
Wisdom for leadership on how to heal the divides in our country
The church to be a light and leader in love for all people
Unity in our communities
Opening Prayer for encouragement, healing and restoration for all
Closing prayer for a heart for PEOPLE in all the challenges facing our country
