AGATHA – Crime Surveillance (Portugal 2020 financed project)
The analysis to be made to these resources is aimed at
identifying elements that indicate illegal procedures or the
detection of patterns.
This module will allow the extraction of characteristics of image
and video files. To this end, algorithms will be developed to
detect specific images in the contents collected (for example:
faces, gender, age, cars, video actions, face recognition)
Video and image analysis (GCC):
It will also explore voice biometrics to determine the identity of
the speaker based on the characteristics of his speech and
voice.
Biometric analysis :
Each analysis module is targeted to a specific content type
(text, image, video, audio, voice, or biometric data). These
contents will be related to Semantic Web data, in order to
support the evaluation of the content, regardless of its source.
Analysis of Information:

EPMQ has strategically defined that its research must
be objective and that its applicability must be validated
in an industrial environment. EPMQ project’s target are
the Industry (from system development business) on a
company or organization’s need to innovate and the
Research & Development members (from the same
research interests) on a specific work validation.

The Cloud Applications for SMART Cars project will develop a new architecture and new cloud application development process for smart
vehicles as well as the materialization of three application prototypes that cover infotainment services in the context of smart cities. To this end, a
development process appropriate to the needs will be formalized and institutionalized, where a software product variability management strategy
and a product and portfolio management strategy will be defined in the CCDS..
✓ Analysis of the software development processes defined
by Bosch, with reference models of software quality,
safety standards for cars and oriented to agile
methodologies.
✓ Development of a compliance assessment framework.

In this project, we will define a software development process centralized in the design of an architecture and service specification
(SOA) in cloud computing contexts, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0. It is intended that architecture design
support shows the logical abstraction related to the intended operation of the cloud platform as an integrator (middleware) for the
allocation of robust and reliable resource and data entities in the value chain.
✓ Survey requirements and cloud, IoT and Industry

Domain of Applied Research
PIU is a domain of applied research within CCG, with a
dedicated team that studies human perception,
human factors and ergonomics, human behavior
and interaction with technology, and usability. The
main goal of PIU is to develop human-centered studies
and to participate in the creation of new products that
contribute to a more adaptive, usable, and comfortable
utilization, as well as products that help with
health/rehabilitation, safety, and entertainment.
