Cisco Routers generate and send out the TCP telnet traffic with TOS of 6. We can change this value by the
following command:
R o u t e r ( c o n f i g ) # i p t e l n e t t o s x
so what’s the purpose of trick… well, It’s a handy method for debugging QoS tasks, generating traffic with
different TOS is not a bad idea.
To verify this, we can enable ip precedence accounting by:
R o u t e r ( c o n f i g - i f ) # i p a c c o u n t i n g p r e c e d e n c e i n p u t
