1.Prepare U.S.-educated students tobe successful on the NAPLEX
and
2. Prepare foreign-educated pharmaciststo successfully pass the
Foreign PharmacyGraduate Equivalency Exam (FPGEE),and the NAPLEX
exam.
Objectives:
Discuss the economic, social, andadministrative influences on
drugdevelopment and delivery ofhealthcare (FPGEE).
Review key concepts in the basic sciences,including concepts in
biology, microbiology,general chemistry, organic chemistry, and
biochemistry (FPGEE).
Discuss principles of pharmaceutical sciences,including drug
absorption, distribution,metabolism and excretion,
bioequivalence,and dosage formulation design (FPGEE).
Demonstrate application of pharmaceuticalcalculations,
pharmacokinetics, and basicstatistics (FPGEE and NAPLEX).
Understand the pathophysiology of andidentify presenting signs
and symptomsof common diseases, recommendappropriate drug therapy,
identify goals oftreatment and monitoring parameters, andsummarize
key patient counseling issues(FPGEE and NAPLEX).
Audience:
Te program is open to all individualspreparing to take the FPGEE
orthe NAPLEX exam.

FPGEE students attend the entire 4-day class. NAPLEX students
attend the classonly on Tursday and Friday.

is in no wayauthorized or sponsored by the NABP.
