WELCOME MESSAGE...Congratulations for enrolling at SCC./SFCC, we are glad to have you. I am committed to working with you to offer support and direction on your educational, personal, and professional goals. Whether you are a brand new student just graduated from high school, have recently earned your GED, or are a re-entry student returning after a short (or long!) absence, we know that education is one of the keys to a satisfying career. Please contact me with any questions about our college or it’s programs. If I do not have answers, I pledge to find the answers for you. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Sami Salvatori SCC Online Counselor

Hi CCS Online Students! I’m super excited for winter quarter. We are debuting the Commons course, a place for you to connect with your online peers and access resources. All of you will automatically be enrolled. Not only will you meet fellow students and access resources, you will be able to view your Ed Plan, and see the classes you still have to take. Sami, Justin, and myself will also be very active in this course and we hope you will be too! Let’s have a great quarter!

Francesca Bush Instructional Designer

Woot! Woot! I am extremely excited for the 2015 winter quarter! As your Student Success Coach, I am here to help you be successful in your courses. This quarter, we will be implementing the Commons course. This course will allow you to correspond with other online students, and have the ability to communicate one-on-one with me. Additionally, I will be working to create and upload bi-weekly videos providing you with campus updates, and other online activities. Please remember, I am here for you, so do not hesitate to call or email me. I look forward to another great quarter! Go Squatches!

Hopefully you have already taken the SmarterMeasure assessment; however, if you have not, please do. This assessment will help you be a successful online student.

You are not penalized for guessing on SmarterMeasure, so please make sure to answer each question. Upon completion, you will receive a report which will help you understand your strengths and opportunities for improvement.

The most important part is that it will provide you with resources to help you succeed in the online learning environment. If you have not taken this exam, please contact your Student Success Coach at 509-533-7070 to get started.
