ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS & PACKAGES TAILORED TO CLIENT

NEEDS

Capability and competence is available to provide an off-site design and detail engineering service at

the fully equipped Newcastle upon Tyne facilities.

CDN use the latest CAD software for a range of engineering and architectural applications. The CDN

in-house design office is equipped with up to date CAD facilities catering to both 2D & 3D

requirements. Systems are regularly updated to ensure the most complex draughting contracts are

completed efficiently. Work packages may be undertaken, amongst others, in the Structural,

Architectural, Piping, Mechanical and E & I discipline.

Flexibility is the key to delivery; service provision can cover the detailed planning and execution of

any type of engineering project. Bespoke workscope packages may be tailored to match individual

client needs. Alternatively, CDN may execute a client’s complete offsite design requirement on a

“turnkey project” basis, from initial award to final contract delivery integrating / incorporating all

engineering functions and disciplines. Compensation principles could consist of either an hourly rate,

lump sum basis, budget hours or cost within a joint venture / partnership approach.

HEALTH & SAFETY

In March 2014 the CD Group was awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for its commitment to

achieving excellence in health and safety. Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme

which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and

safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard

are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users via a website. Client-organisations

can access the database, enabling them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site.
