Please ensure you are asking the pre-screening questions at home before coming to school. Please ensure your child is wearing a mask. It is mandatory for grades 4 to 9.

Please arrive on time so that your teacher can do a second screening. Please ensure you are practicing social distancing at all times on the playground.

Vehicle traffic should be going Counter Clockwise around the school. (the same direction as the parked cars)

Drop your child off at the opening in the fence so they can go straight onto the playground. This is a “STOP, DROP and GO” zone

Do not block traffic by parking illegally here. Do not enter the staff parking lot at any time to pick up or drop off students. This is a safety issue. Thank you.

Please do everything possible to ensure that your child is on time, in order to follow all of the arrival steps. Should your child be late, please call the school to inform us so was can have a screener meet your child.

Your child will be met at the front doors and then walked through the appropriate entry door. If your child is being picked up early, please call ahead so we can have your child ready to go.

Your child will be walked out to meet you through the appropriate door.

What Happens If My Child Gets Sick

while being monitored by a staff member. Parents/Guardians will be called to pick up their child immediately. Children must be picked up as

soon as possible. Once you arrive, please phone the school and a staff member will walk your child out to meet you.

Of a COVID-19 case is known, we will follow directive from Manitoba Public Health Authorities.

Construction Update

Our construction project is not complete; however, the building is ready to have all of our students return.

There may be temporary relocation of some classrooms while finishing work is completed. This

may have an impact on entrances and exits. Safety of our students and staff is our main priority.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!

Traffic Direction at Cecil Rhodes School

To decrease congestion and for the safety of all of our children, please park your vehicle correctly and safely. Walk to the playground to meet your child.

We need your help to keep our children safe. Safety before convenience. Thank you!

The 2020-2021 school year is off

to a great start! Routines and

expectations have been

established and we are getting to

know one another. The students

were introduced to Q Bear on the

first day of school. He is our

classroom mascot and promotes

a learning environment which is

safe, respectful and productive.

Did you know that CRS School has a “Book Bus”?

Our library is currently closed to students so we are taking the library to the students, and they are loving it. Each grade 1 – 6

class has a scheduled time in their school cycle when the Book Bus stops at their

classroom. Mrs. Mckenzie teaches a short lesson on a book topic and then the

students vote for their choice from three books and Mrs. McKenzie reads it to them. Following the reading, each student is given a few books to choose from and right there

at the Book Bus the library books are scanned and the students have a library

book to enjoy! When the books are returned to the drop box outside of the library, they are then

quarantined for a week before they can be used again.
