upstate quaint town of Cooperstown, NY.
Pricing for these activities include all taxes, fees
and gratuities and are per person. We are
currently working on obtaining the best
possible rates for these events, so stay tuned
for the final trip dates, times and prices. We
will determine what trips will be offered on
what dates, once we are able to evaluate what
each facility can offer on what date.
Please be mindful of the amount of walking and
the length of each trip. It is important to be
aware of what you think you can manage given
the heat and humidity in NY in August.
If there is some place you want to go and we
are not offering a trip, please reach out to us at
the NHLBCC email address. We plan to have
people available for rides to try and help
everyone see everything they want to see.
Refunds for these activities will be provided
only after we are able to fill your spot on the
trip or we have residual funds once the
Convention expenses are reconciled.

West Point
https://westpoint.edu/
The US Military Academy at West Point’s
mission is “to educate, train and inspire the
Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a
commissioned leader of character committed to
the values of Duty, Honor, and Country and
prepared for a career of professional excellence
and service to the Nation as an officer in the US
Army”. Cadets learn to live honorably, lead
honorably, and demonstrate excellence by
following through the Character, Academic,
Physical, and Military programs.
Your guided tour will begin with an overview of
the start of West Point as a military post during
the Revolutionary War in 1778 through the
modern times of the US Military Academy.
View breathtaking scenery from West Point
which overlooks the Hudson River as it winds
through the Hudson Highland. Historic figures
such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,
Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower and
even Benedict Arnold all have a role in the story
of West Point and our nation. The tour makes
stops at the Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point, Battle
Monument and the Plain.
National Baseball Hall of Fame
Cooperstown, NY
https://baseballhall.org/
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and
Museum, surely the most well-known sports
shrine in the world, continues to thrive in the
town where baseball’s pulse beats the
strongest. The village is pure Americana, a one-
stoplight town nestled between the
Adirondacks and the Catskills in Central New
York. It drew its name from the family of James
Fenimore Cooper – whose father, William,
founded the village – whose works of literature
have become American standards.
By the last half of the 19th Century, baseball had
become the National Pastime. The United
States was a little more than 100 years old, and
baseball had involved with the country.
The HOF collections contain more than 40,000
3-dimentional artifacts such as bats, balls,
gloves and uniforms donated by players and
fans who want to see history preserved. It also
contains more than 250,000 photographs and
images. The Museum curators use the artifacts,
whose numbers grow by about 400 per year, to
tell the story of the National Pastime.
Spend some time strolling down Main Street
and perusing all the small shops, including the
Cooperstown Bat Company.
NHLBCC 2020 AUGUST 14 – 16, 2020 TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK
9|II Memorial & Museum
https://www.911memorial.org
The National September 11th Memorial is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the 2,977 people killed in the terror attacks of 9/11/01 at the WTC site, near Shanksville, PA. and at the Pentagon, as well as the 6 people killed in the WTC bombing on 2/26/93.
The Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. The name of every person who died in the 2001 and 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools, a powerful reminder of the largest loss of life resulting from a foreign attack on American soil and the greatest single loss of rescue personnel in American history.

you can enjoy your beverages on a full belly!
