IntroductionYou are in charge of the party! We

need pizza, drinks, tableware, and snacks. However, it is all up to your group to decide what to get and how much to spend. Stay within your budget and maybe your party plan will be the one we will use for our End of the Year Party!

TaskYour group is planning an End of

the Year Celebration. Of course, everything has to be planned within a budget. You have $200 to spend. Each member in the group will be divided into a different task: pizza planner, soda/tableware planner, snack planner, and budget manager.

a group. It will then be up to you and your group to decide the roles. Use the data we collected in class to decide what to order for each different role. As a team, decide how much money to allot to each role.

much pizza to order & what toppings to get. Use the data we obtained in class & the website to help you make your choices. The website will give you tips to order for large groups. It will also tell you how many people a pizza will feed.

BUDGET MANAGERYou are the team captain. You

approve everything that the planners bring to you. Once you have approved what the other 3 roles, you are in charge of adding everything up and putting it in an excel worksheet. This link tells you how to make a party budget using excel.

Once you have approved all your member’s plans, compile it all in a folder. Write a one page reflection on what you learned.

Once the budget manager has approved everyone’s plans, it is time to put all your information together. In a folder, you need to put everyone’s graph they have made, the budget spreadsheet, and each person’s reflection. Create a cover page for the front. Your group also needs to create a presentation board using pictures & graphs.

Conclusion

You have just completed a project that is about an essential life skill: budgeting. Budgeting is skill that is a part of your everyday life. It is important to know how much money to allot to different necessities and keep track of what you are spending so that you don't go in debt!
