Homestay Accommodation
If discovering the British culture and way of life is important to you, there’s no better way than to stay with a localBritish family. Homestay can give you a welcoming and personal experience during your study stay.
Living in homestay accommodation offers a unique intercultural experience and is one of the best ways to practiseEnglish outside the classroom. It also helps you to experience our culture and the British way of life, first-hand.
You can choose from two types of homestay accommodation:• Standard • Superior (private bathroom)
All accommodation options above have the following as standard:• Own room• Daily breakfast and evening meal (half-board)• Bedding and towels (provided by the host)• Communal living area• Bath or shower• Washing facilities

* For under 18s, parental authorisation is required to stay in homestay accommodation.

Meal Plan:• Half-board: breakfast and evening meal
included daily. Lunch is also provided atweekends.
• Full-board: also includes a packed lunch eachweekday at an additional cost of £15/week.Full board is compulsory for all studentsunder 18.
• Supplement cost for any special dietaryrequirements is £15/week (halal, gluten free,vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, lactoseintolerance, nut allergy, shellfish allergy).
Notes:• Cooking facilities are not included. Access to these is at the host’s
discretion.• Dinner is the main meal of the day and usually includes meat, fish or
poultry.• If you have specific dietary requirements please inform us at the time of
booking, in your application form e.g. vegetarian, halal, gluten free, etc.• Students under 18 must book a full-board meal plan.• Shared rooms are only available if booked together.• A weekly retention fee of £70.00 is payable if you wish to keep homestay
accommodation while you are away. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice isrequired. This is not available from June to September.
• No pork or no fish do not require a dietary supplement fee if thestudent is happy not to have a substitute item in their meal. Otherwisespecial dietary supplement fee is required.
Transportation/ Travelling time:By bus or train, or on foot.Within 5 to 45 minutes’ travelling time from Celticby public transportation.
Laundry:Students should be able to do one washing machine load of laundry per week. Please discuss with your homestay provider whether you should do it yourself in their machine or whether they will do it for you.
Internet:Most homes do have internet access eitherthrough a broadband-wired connection or Wi-Fi,but this is not guaranteed. If you specificallyrequire use of the internet, please state this onyour application form. There may be usagerestrictions on the amount of time or downloadingyou are permitted to do in the home. Please askthe homestay provider upon your arrival.
