EMERALD CEMETERY

A LITTLE GEMEmerald Cemetery, originally known as Macclesfield Cemetery, has historically serviced the regional farming community of the district. Sheltered among natural bushland, the cemetery provides a small sanctuary for native wildlife as well as being home to the soothing song of native birds.

Emerald/Macclesfield Cemetery is known for its distinctive wrought-iron gates in Art Deco style, and for the Rotunda that forms the central point of the cemetery grounds.

BURIALSMONUMENTAL GRAVESThese graves allow for the installation of a solid and impressive stone monument that covers the length and breadth of the grave in place of grassed lawn. Usually made from granite or marble, these monuments are created in conjunction with your choice of stonemason.

LAWN GRAVES — THE CHOICE IS YOURS Whilst all graves at Emerald cemetery are technically capable of having a full monument, many families prefer the option of having a lawn grave. The cemetery allows for the modern option of lawn burial set amongst the native landscape and historic headstone monuments.

This variation in the range of monuments adds to the unique ambience of the Emerald Cemetery.
