Health Screening and Temperature Check ProgramBishop Ranch has partnered with John Muir Health to provide screening and temperature check stations. Everyone must be wearing a daily Temperature & Screening sticker visible at all times while inside Bishop Ranch buildings.

To ensure all employees are checked daily we need customers to support and promote daily screening internally. Stations will not be present in all lobbies at all times and companies need to help by communicating testing locations and hours to ensure minimal wasted employee time.

In order to clear the check the following will be required:

1. Responses to all screening questions are “no.”

2. Temperature is taken with a no-touch thermometer.

3. Temperature does not exceed 100 degrees F.

4. The person is wearing a mask.

5. The person displays a temperature check + screened sticker.

Businesses with large employee populations may tailor their own plan with Bishop Ranch.

COVID-19 TestingBishop Ranch is partnering with Contra Costa County to set up a drive through testing site at Bishop Ranch. Individuals seeking screening can call the county health hotline (844) 421-0804 to make an appointment.

We are also partnering with Dia Carta to provide quick-turn around bulk testing to our customers at discounted rates for testing a large population of office workers.

We are working with an antibody testing group, however their product is not far enough along yet to implement as a standard.

Screening is mandatory for all occupants of Bishop Ranch multi-tenant buildings. Employers are encouraged to support and promote the health screening program to ensure adoption by employee populations.

In the mornings health checks will occur in each building lobby, outside of regular arrival hours, checks will be performed at a centralized location on the campus.

Scenario A: Responses to all screening questions are “no,” individual is wearing a mask, temperature reads lower than 100 degrees F. Proceed to office with a dated screen + temperature check sticker.

Scenario B: Response to one or more screening questions is “yes.” Individual will be advised they cannot enter the building and should notify supervisor (if applicable).

Scenario C: Response to all screening questions is “no” but no-touch thermometer reads 100 degrees F or higher. Individual may opt for a second temperature check with an alternate thermometer. If fever persists, individual will be advised they cannot enter. Customers are allowed to bring their own oral thermometer assuming it is of a customary type and legible to checker.

Customers with large employee populations can customize their own program with Bishop Ranch, or certify their internal program through Bishop Ranch to receive our stickers.

How can employers help?

Coronavirus is spread primarily from person-to-person contact. Maintaining 6-feet of distance is critically important.

Consider providing employees a transportation subsidy during the pandemic to allow for more people to drive to work in their personal vehicle, as opposed to using public transit or carpool, when possible.

Maintaining flexible schedules and working in shifts will ease the surge of single occupant vehicles that could be caused by decreased transit ridership.


Transportation

Upon the shelter in place being lifted, County Connection will resume modified service from Dublin/Pleasanton and Walnut Creek BART stations to Bishop Ranch. County Connection is developing a COVID-19 health and safety plan to protect employees and riders. Please visit CountyConnection.com for details.

Per the new health ordered released by Contra Costa County, face covers are required for public transit workers. Specific to public transit, members of the public must wear a mask when they wait in line or ride public transportation. Businesses may not serve customers who do not observe the order.

Carpool and Vanpool transportation are discouraged during the pandemic, as close contact with others would be unavoidable.



Occupant PPE

Examples of PPE include: gloves, goggles, face shields, face masks, and respiratory protection, when appropriate.

During an outbreak of an infectious disease, such as COVID-19, recommendations for PPE specific to occupations or job tasks may change depending on geographic location, updated risk assessments for workers, and information on PPE effectiveness in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Employers should check the OSHA and CDC websites regularly for updates about recommended PPE.

The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has mandated that ALL individuals wear at least a cloth type cloth mask while outside of their homes. These are mandatory for everyone at Bishop Ranch at all times. Employers are obligated to provide their workers with PPE needed to keep them safe while performing their jobs. Bishop Ranch is happy to support these efforts on request.

All types of PPE must be:

● Selected based upon individual company policy and the hazard to the worker.

● PPE must be properly fitted and periodically refitted, as applicable (e.g. respirators).

● Consistently and properly worn when required.

● Regularly inspected, maintained, and replaced, as necessary.

● Properly removed, cleaned, and stored or disposed of, as applicable, to avoid

contamination of self, others, or the environment.

Note: The California Department of Public Health has stated that generators of PPE waste should determine themselves if it can be disposed of as regular solid waste or if it needs to be treated as medical waste. Contact your property manager for more information.

Occupant Risk Assessment Employers must assess risks to employee physical well being and implement appropriate policies. Mitigation efforts include:

● Close in-suite facilities such as gyms, phone rooms and common areas.

● Discourage use of common area equipment and tools such as copiers, scanners and fax machines.

● Advise employees to avoid public transit and offer subsidies to allow for safer commute options.

● Stagger shifts to limit occupancy.● Advise employees to avoid visiting high-traffic events or locations

employees to consider alternate meal times to reduce crowds.

Bishop Ranch Wide Protocols

● The latest infection control and cleaning protocols are being implemented based on World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC guidance.

● A new coronavirus cleaning protocol was adopted in February which includes the use of hospital-grade disinfectants, as recommended by the CDC, on all clear surfaces and touchpoints to help control the spread of the virus.

● Cleaning/disinfecting frequency of high touch surfaces in common areas such as door handles, elevator buttons, handrails, drinking fountains, and restroom fixtures has increased.

● Staff has been trained on appropriate PPE and disinfectant use.● We have ensured adequate inventory of disinfectants.● Work scope have been modified to focus on transmission prevention.● Daily desk covers force desktop cleanliness which allows night staff to

disinfect the desk.

Bishop Ranch Wide Protocols ● Modify HVAC system to full economizer mode to bring maximum fresh air to

buildings when possible. Maximize air changes per hour. Flush buildings after hours.

Reopening and Rediscovering

Rediscover the simple joys of coming together, with an abundance of breathing room.

We anticipate that our region will reopen in phases that satisfy the gating criteria outlined by federal, state and local authorities. In the initial phase, we would look to have large venues, like restaurants with sit-down dining and movie theaters, operating under strict physical distancing protocol.

Each restaurant and retailer at City Center will be reopening on a staggered timeline. We will keep Bishop Ranch tenants informed of restaurant and store openings via our website, social media and the Bishop Ranch tenant newsletter.
