ORDER OF WORSHIP

PRELUDE Vexilla Regis J. Demessieux WELCOME Linda Kowatch

CALL TO WORSHIP “Every great dream begins with a dreamer.Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”This is why, "We cannot live in a world that is not our own, in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a home. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening, to use our own voice, to see our own light."“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” -Harriet Tubman -Hildegard of Bingen -Jesus

SUNG PRAYER At the Altar T. Green Music by Tracey Green and Kajsa Teitelbaum

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Linda Kowatch

LORD’S PRAYER (New Zealand Version)Eternal Spirit,Earth-maker, Pain bearer, Life-giver,Source of all that is and that shall be,Father and Mother of us all,Loving God, in whom is heaven:

The hallowing of your name echo through the universe; The way of your justice be followed by the peoples of the world;Your heavenly will be done by all created beings;Your commonwealth of peace and freedomsustain our hope and come on earth.

With the bread we need for today, feed us.In the hurts we absorb from one another, forgive us.In times of temptation and test, strengthen us.From trial too great to endure, spare us.From the grip of all that is evil, free us.For you reign in the glory of the power that is love, now and forever. Amen.

SOLO Blessed Assurance P. Palmer Knapp Ekaterina Kotcherguina

INVITATION TO COMMUNITY LIFE

PRAYER OF DEDICATIONGod, who is the giver of every good and perfect gift. Thank you for this opportunity to practice Your nature. As we pour out these blessings, we come into deeper contact with the Spirit of Christ who poured himself out for the joy of the world. May these gifts serve as a further extension of that joy. Amen.
