State Farm is a one-stop shop in its industryBy JUSTIN MUSZYNSKI@MUSZYNSKIBP
BRISTOL — The local
State Farm Insurance branch provides the same personable service you would expect at any reli-able, small business.
Zach Ibanez, owner and agent, compares the branch to other small, hard-working businesses in the area.
“You’ll pretty much see the same faces every time you walk in,” he said. “People like that. It’s nice to walk in to a familiar place.”
Ibanez said State Farm, located at 515 Broad St., is the “one-stop shop” in its industry. It offers auto, home and life insurance, and is the fastest growing bank since 1999.
“Most people don’t know we’re a bank, too,” Ibanez said.
Ibanez is proud of the personal service he and his agents provide cus-tomers. Those who want a quote or who have any kind of issue are encour-
aged to call the local branch.
“Don’t call the 1-800 number,” Ibanez said. “Call us and we’ll help you out.”
Ibanez and his team of five agents also try to show their appreciation for Bristol residents.
“One thing we try to
do is get involved with the community,” he said, adding that the agency regularly volunteers and donates to the local Boys and Girls Club, the Sham-rock Run and other events throughout the year.
Additionally, Ibanez is working with the Parks and Recreation Depart-
ment to try to put on a Latin festival here in Bristol.
“We’re looking at hope-fully June,” Ibanez said. “There’s already the Pol-ish festival, the Italian festival, and Bristol has a pretty big Hispanic popu-lation.”
State Farm also, sev-eral times a year, has customer appreciation days during the summer, when agents pull out the grill and cook up hot dogs and hamburgers for anyone who wishes to attend.
“Whether you’re a cus-tomer or not, maybe you want a quote or maybe you just want to stop by, everyone is welcome,” Ibanez said.
