CDCC member, George Tansley, took the U19 gold medal at the inaugu-
ral State Kermesse Championships held at Mt Gambier on October 9.
Fellow CDCC member Joshua Harrison took U19 silver in the event and
Alex Edmondson was the 4th U19 to finish.

This is traditionally a very successful night of racing for our
club, but the success of the event is dependent on the number
of members who are willing to volunteer and help out. If you

P A G E 3 National Junior Track Series From the CA website:
The National Junior Track Series is five rounds of
racing action featuring the future stars of Australian
cycling. The series is supported by the Santos Tour
Down Under and GreenEDGE, and will increase
track racing opportunities for U15 and U17 cyclists.
The aim is to provide competition for juniors, help them make the transition to elite racing
and ensure the long-term future of track cycling within Australia and the growth of our high
performance talent base.
There have been two rounds of the series held:
Round 1 Friday October 7, Dunc Gray Velodrome, Sydney
Round 2 Saturday October 22, DISC, Melbourne
CDCC member Alexandra Manly (JW17) has competed in both rounds and is
ranked third in her category.
Alex rode in the Adelaide Metro Team. She placed second in the JW17 Elimination
Final in Sydney and won the JW17 Points Race & Handicap in Melbourne.
Congratulations Alex!
CDCC member Danielle McKinnirey (JW17) competed in Melbourne, riding with
the SA Bike Station Team.
Round 3 will be held in Launceston, Saturday November 19; Round 4 will be held in
Perth, Saturday December 10; the series concludes in Adelaide on Tuesday January
17.
Cyclo Sportif Reminder Summer is now approaching with the 2011-12 Cyclo Sportif Series kicking off at
Williamstown on November 20.
These events are a team time trial and aimed at introducing cyclists to competition,
improving bunch skills and a good reason to keep fit. The whole team starts and
finishes together.
CDCC hope to enter two teams this season: a “fast” tem and a “slower” team.
